I'm just wondering, was the design for the queen intentional fan-base? She looks like she could be in Legends of Dragoon, like a cross between Rose's dragoon form and Lavitz/Arthur's weapon.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a cheap trick, but for enemies like the 3rd boss, you can get Viegraf the Red out of his attack range by being in his sprite range, and if you can get him into a corner, the fight is an easy win. As far as I know, this is mostly before the super bosses, which those periods tend to be easy unless you're very reckless, so I'm not sure if it's too much of a concern. If I do see something like that in the extra or Trial, I'll let you know.
Random challenges: Beat 53100 on a :58 loop of Metal Mario from Super Mario 64 (Not the Smash bros. version, that might be considered cheating).
beat 152550 on a 1:34 loop of the SNES version of Sewer Surfin.
I would also like to suggest people to do this with Thrash King. the movement from the song makes it pretty intense.
Nice job. My main complaint is that like Music Catch, you can't even have paused Youtube videos on. This game seems like a combination of Music Catch and Audio Surf, you are after notes, you have a combo meter, the map is always going forward while you move left or right, and you can play ANY song. So fun doing this with Simple Sight and Night of Nights.
And to Jurza, that might be a record for Pochebel canon, but I got 2828350 with No More Heroes 2's Philistine. In order to truly judge the best, we have to judge based on certain songs. Anyone could make the best score if they play this with the 30min loop of Devil May Cry 3's Taste the Blood, and I think some youtuber made a 10 hour loop of something.
@codsoc That is what I call the Superjump trick. and now, my record with it is 403. It's 50/50 luck and skill. We may want to have 2 record contests, one that's superjump only and one that's no super jumps. On one hand, the super jump assures the laser shouldn't catch up. On the other hand, it's reckless speed makes it easy to get shocked if you don't have the reflexes of 600-1200bpm (yes, I am measuring in DDR/stepmania speed, and no, I'm not up to that reflex).
Feels just like the old NES days.
Fun Fact: If you press escape after hitting the wall and do it consecutively, you can go up quickly, like a Super Ninja. It's not always recommended though since you will be kinda blind of incoming shock spikes.
