Hahaha! I was going to give this game a 4 until I found out it really does crash your browser when you throw the plane backwards. Now it gets a 5, that's just too hilarious! BTW I CALL FAKE on finishing the game in 7 days. someone using Cheat engine and too stupid to be able to do it in one day. (See high scores)
what an utterly boring game. 1/5 only becuase 0 isn't an option. I play games to relieve boredom, not create more of it. Uninspired, unchallenging, unplayable.
Just finished the campaign. Couple of things to say about improvements. Owl was right on about the light towers and death towers. I also put up several level 4 pulse emitters too because Fork is awesomesauce before you get your ideal set up, and hell, you still have to eventually kill stuff with damage. That said, once you get your 10 level 4 light towers up, the game starts REALLY lagging. My system is optimized for gaming with a pretty high-end card and lots of extra memory and the last fight took over an hour just because of lag. If that can be fixed in the next sequel it would be great. Also i had to repeat the first half of the campaign because the clear save option is really easy to accidently hit. a confirm box would be great. Can't wait for the next game!
About the game: Love it. Great improvements over the original which I also loved. I know the author got a lot of hate over Clone Wars that it was a rip-off ect... but I'd love to see a game that somehow combines this style of TD with clone wars. Make that, make it multi-player, and you'll have something epic.! 5/5 fav.
Happy new year. I've played this game quite a bit over the last few weeks and learned a few helpful things. If you don't want spoilers, then don,t read this.......;firstly if you are having trouble at the start go to the options, unlock map and choose forest. the default map is freakin hard. Forest is easy. Secondly if you get a pulse tower and upgrade it three times it becomes pretty well godly. It does something like 200-300 damage, has fork (basically AOE) and adds 9 to the max damage of every tower you have and 18 to your heroes max damage. Once you get about ten or so of those up, then spend 300 gold or so getting yourself 20 level 1 ice towers. eventually level them up to level 2 for best effect. then go back to building level 4 pulse towers as many as you can where they will hit 2 or 3 roads. I've gotten three levels away from beating the forest doing this. Still tweaking my strategy.
Like the game. It has a good learning curve. If it seems too hard at first just keep developing new strategies. I still haven't beaten the game and I'm pretty good at most TD games. 5/5 since gameplay is more important to me than fancy graphics and sound.
Not a big fan of this game like most posters.
I finished the game in the hard mode mostly using shaman spam but I was only able to unlock 2 of the achievements. I got the one for finishing the game, the one for geting over 10k gold and the one for looking at the credits. anyone know what the other ones are?
Well I'm a little pissed right now. this game is pretty good but... Yes, I run into a level, after half an hour that I can't figure out how to beat, and now i have to slog through the easy part again. Fail. This would be a five star game if not for the fact that I'm going to have to go through the entire thing every time I get to a really challenging level.
There is a lot of strategy in this game. Unfortunately for the most part it's better not to use it. Every map can be beaten easily just by leaving your followers on build mode and simply out-building the computer. any time I've ried other strategies it's either failed or just not been as good.
Just beat the game with a cat-guy. too lazy to put the whole Build but pretty much 5 int, max brawling, a few into armor, max or nearly max all physical skills and perception. the claws spell for weapons as soon as available, once you get rank 5 elementals its beastman, cast the claws, do the strength boost power then totally shred whatever is in fornt of you including Waizer. The build is underpowered until you get to about ran k 4 or so ele so youll use lots of henchmen to get that far. The vocals are freaking annoying I seriosuly could have done better!
one of those games thats too easy until the last guy then unreasonably hard. I'm about given up on the last guy and I was pretty much oneshot killing everything up to him. and yeah, totally repetitive. even makes world of Borecraft look interesting by comparison.
someone said the game gets easier instead of harder and that's true. too bad, but when you have a lot of cool upgrades that's usually the way things go. All i n all this is a good TD. I think it shows that the genre is shifting to a more player involved format like cursed gems. you have to use your spells and use them wisely to progress. I can't wait till another full protector series game comes out with this type of play. the last one was far too easy.
