I suppose I can think of plenty of things that could be improved... The wasted XP is one big thing though, and there are certainly things it could be spent on... Perhaps multiple spawns of Hero, increase mana regen...
Some weapons talk about upgrading them as if the upgrade is different from regularly buying... And yet, when I click "buy upgrade" I get the abilities as though it was upgraded fully or whatever... I suspect it's just badly explained/worded
Things that would improve lag: Option to turn off bodies staying on the field
OR
Alternatively, rather than treating them all as separate objects actually paste them onto the background image and then use image recognition to do a count at the end. Wouldn't be perfect, but would cut down on lag. But I'd also like to point out how the body count actually has no significance to gameplay; it doesn't mean anything. No bonus, no award, no achievement...
I like the game but.... There is room for improvement. It's a good game that could be a great game, like another guy said.
Just an added feature that i think would be neat would be give the individual units a leveling system,. as they get more kills, make there be a benefit to keeping them alive for as long as you can...
Game is definitely slow, it's really laggy even on LQ, though I think also it could do with a game accelerate button, you know, 2x speed or whatever. It has a pause, so why not, right?
The general dude out front that you get after killing bosses is never really explained or addressed and you don't get to see his stats. Perhaps a way to improve the general as you go?
Also maybe something to speed up the traveling speed of spells, make the fireballs a bit faster, things like that...
Just some thoughts.
You know, my only complaint really is that it's really laggy... Probably just the physics engine, but I don't usually have lag this bad on low quality when there's not that much happening onscreen.
So, just some things I've noticed... It would seem that the different scope picture thingies represent what weapon type it is. But... Uzi doesn't count towards minigun OR rifle... Maybe it counts towards pistol, hm. Nuke, with the "grenade" symbol, doesn't count towards grenades, it counts towards rocket launchers. Wonder why that is.
A bunch of little things could be added, like combining the research page with the monster page so you can view what you have equipped and what you can buy and the difference and such... And perhaps upgrades to the different monster parts, even breaking down the upgrades into parts, for instance, so you could make the laser shoot for longer or optimize it against building damage or something...
The money dropped by zombies is one of the main reasons why it is so difficult. THey drop lots of money on a kill, yes, and they aren't hard to kill, but the money disappears after a very short time, too short for anybody to get the money unless you're standing right next to the zombie you killed.
The shotgun also has a very short range but still takes two shots to kill the zombies, which is a problem, really, if it's going to have range that short.
It's a nice concept but I don't think it's a final product. Some tweaking definitely needs to be done to make it more complete.
1. The boss should always be a large character you don't have until you have them all, then should randomize.
2. I think multiplayer co-op and large dungeon levels (like gauntlets) would be great.
