Hi, thanks for reporting this, but we're unable to reproduce it - could you provide a few more details, like which level/enemy you're on when the problem happens?
The death stopper should protect you from dying but only during the turn you use it. If an enemy deals more damage than you have health while death stopper is active, you should see and "Endure!" message and be left with one hitpoint. If the enemy doesn't attack the death stopper effect still expires that turn.

The unit bank appears on the left-hand side of the screen as a collapsed tab during most battles and during the formation editor, but not during fion drone assault. You have to click on it.
Kikix, it doesn't even mean the thing about infinite attempts. It's just like rolling a tetrahedral die each time you try to hit. Each attempt is independent of the rest.
