the movement is good and it works well, though i agree that the keys are a bit annoying. maybe it would be better to use the w=forward s=backward a= left d=right unless you were going for a different style

this is nothing like shattered plans, for one thing it's not turn based, for another you can decide what kind of planet each is in this

found a great glitch, you can pull the way points of enemy fighter bases and rocket turrets so they attack/go where you want
