Worker in final cutscene: "Why did you help us? Your kind [zombies] never helps anyone!"
Random black-voiced worker (first one in the game): "Man, don't discriminate just because he's different!"
lol.
@ZombieCompacter Winning feels more satisfying when you have to try hard to make it through, I feel genuinely accomplished after beating the gauntlet just now. There's no punishment for dying other than starting over or from the midway checkpoint, and the levels are pretty small. Plan your moves in advance, and if they don't work, try another plan.
If anyone was wondering about the points thing, when you got all 60 badges, your total number of points would be 1337. I only figured it out after getting the last two lol. I guess a lot of people asked what the points were for, and kupo decided that the joke for people who earned all 60 (less than 1% of players) wasn't worth confusing everybody else over. xD
How odd, I've been un-idle trying to figure this game out for maybe half an hour, and I really can't find anything to do despite feeling like I've clicked on everything by now. Several times. There must be something to this game to make it so popular/beloved, but I really can't find it by level 21.
Sacrifice builder shouldn't take people below 2 builders imo, to keep the game from going waaaay too slowly. Hard mode wasn't that hard, you should just quit if you have a crappy start in the matches (example, getting reaper'd on one of your first few turns). Also the town on the bottom right has 5 wall and 10 castle or something ridiculously low like that; save game and modify your deck, taking out all high-resource or endgame items and fill it with low level attacks and catapults/rams so you can take it out in the first few turns, then go back to your normal deck for the rest of the game.
For those having a hard time, let's talk strategy. I've played this game through 3 times (hard during beta, normal, and finishing epic now). A way to finish most non-boss fights in one turn is Matt using screamer, Natalie using bless on Lance, and Lance using bomb. If you're fighting a multi-round fight, try to leave one weak opponent for the start of a turn so you can finish it in one turn and take turns with the other two members before the attack. Natalie's your only real support character, so work on those skills instead of offensive skills if you're having some trouble staying alive, which you should on higher difficulties.
What the hell is with the mammoth summoning 2 suiciding bombs that kill in one turn... are summons that are in no way related to the boss supposed to be more threatening than the boss itself?
There's some hotkeys in this game. For example press 'm' to open the menu and check your party's hp/mp if you're trying to heal yourself by walking. Press it again to close it. There's some others like Q for quests, I for etc items.
Fayt, I think the idea is you could stand behind your allies with a spear and they'd let you attack without others getting past their defensive line, but if you have spear users on the offensive, the defence probably isn't planning to stand around and watch spears go past their lines to kill the archers/mages.
Also, it's more fun to play 4 different classes and have variety/creativity instead of playing some kind of perfect set (3-4 of the same) and winning fights easier.
Maybe instead of setting a money limit, create a mode in future games where you have a certain # of items and quantities to use, perhaps blocking some item categories in some levels. Just figure something to encourage more creativity and experimentation. + if you agree most people won't be creative on their own and they need a bit of a push from the developer. :P
Beat the boss with the 4th weapon and no berserk. You just need to use time-slowing powers at the right times and understand the boss's attacks (he has like 3 total attack animations) and how to react to them.
lol, was stuck on the coordinate puzzle for a while. Then it hit me: I'm using the coordinates backwards! Fat lot of help my university-grade math was lol. You know what they say, the world's best swordsman doesn't fear the second best; he fears the worst swordsman, because he can't predict what the idiot will do. I'm overqualified for coordinate geometry xD
Cool concept, great design, but in the end it felt a bit too easy. Having so many options and so few limitations meant there were hundreds of ways to beat the campaign levels using little variation/creativity. Golf was on the right track, but ended too soon. Maybe add some deeper challenges? I cringe to think of the people who actually had to use a walk-through for anything.
Fun little game. It's one of the few flash games with real replay value without having to tie in a multiplayer or survival mode (even though there is one). The hard badge is a fair challenge, but I got it on my second try when fully upgraded (first try was when I was 3 3 2 2 on upgrades). I think the badge is fine where it is, being a 'hard' achievement.
Excellent game, well-designed, decently balanced, great artwork, etc. My main complaint that epic mode is too dependent on luck. I'd use revive for autolife more, but the effect only lasts a couple of turns before it needs to be recast.
