This cave event continues to be extremely glitchy

I've made it to the 8th fight of the cave event and now can't add any heroes to my squad

I'm trying to invest in the town hall and it doesn't seem to be working. I'm sliding the bar and clicking invest and the building bounces and coins pop out of it, but it doesn't seem to actually go through.

Anyone know how to find the first and fourth relic? The ones before the demon tentacle and after the shield of life.

I've made it to the dragon on day 8 or 9 and on day 18 or 19.. this game is not very good.
