Whichislife you are correct about the CD bolts dealing special damage at 20. But the Chaos desert mage doesn't have additional attack bolts then, so the PW mage can block the bolts before CD reaches special 40.
A chaos desert mage having a CD orb while the poison water mage doesn't would make things a lot more difficult. The strategy I suggested of using decrease special won't work in this case, but I still believe the Poison Water Mage can win, though they will need a lot more mana than otherwise. I'll explain why I think this on top to avoid character limit.
Poison Water can easily defeat a Chaos Desert Mage. The key is decrease special. If the CD mage has special less than 40 you won't get hit by their bolts. At 20 and 40 you add 10 poison effects for a total of 20. At 50 you paralyze and at 60 you decrease special. The turn after doing this you'll have 70 special while the CD mage has 40. You'll get hit by 10 bolts and lose 20 special this turn, down to 50. But it doesn't because after the turn ends your special will rise to 60 and you can use decrease special again using the poison effects from your counter attack. This will take the CD special from 50 to 20 and then 30 next turn, not enough special to hit you! Just keep using decrease special and you will not only not get hit but soon have a superior number of bolts along with counter bolts quickly adding more poison.
Decrease special is the key to easily defeating Chaos Desert and Iceland mages.
Whichslife, Great Sea is indeed a great clan. If you choose additional attack bolts, Great Sea has a similar advantage in attack bolts as Chaos desert. With White Mage items Great Sea could deal 150 damage to a Poison water Mage each attack. Poison Water has great strength that other clans don't, they never have to actually attack with bolts, they use poison wave and decrease special instead, so the great Sea Mage wouldn't have anything to absorb in a fight with a well-played Poison Water. Poison Water would either have to have enough health to endure until ready for Poison Death, or have enough mana while being mana leaked to empty the Great Sea Mages health.
Which clan do you all think is the best clan? I think it's Poison Water, they're able to defeat any other clan, but only if they have extremely high mana and a decent amount of health.
