not bad but still worst of the series. i appreciate trying to go back to more of GG1 but this wasn't done quite right. removing gun damage made the pistols (of which, you have to most variety) useless against the enemy challenges. if you ever make another GG, just make GG1 with more guns. seriously, that's all that needs for improvement.
also, dragon born is ridiculous when coupled with poison. i have 2 knights with it and their power is definitely OP. positive note now, definitely solid basics here. all complaints are rather minor and just add up. i'd say this is about a 3-3.5/5. i will look out for the sequel and hope you can iron all the little stuff out. gl to ya.
if i weren't so close to beating this, i'd quit. the map is far too small. running back and forth through the same 2-4 battles gets old, really fast. the annoyance scales with my party's power. i was able to dominate the battle 3 missions ago, i still can. map needs to be a lot bigger and/or enemies need to continue to scale up as you make progress. probably best to tie that to the player level or number of missions completed. keeping some areas easy would be good but fighting through two kura beach+small cove to get to merchant city only to be given a mission to go right back to queen castle is NOT ok w/o a difficulty curve when i fought through there 4 or 5 player levels before with 3 less knights. and i saw you reply to the guy asking about the ghastly with "XD". if it does nothing but change appearance, note it somewhere. few are going to try it out just to see since it's permanent. it's ok for there to be a mystery with something minor (like food or equipment) but this is too big.
very minor complaint. i get that it could be tricky to program the AI right but i really hope you can change it so my troops adapt to a newly spawned enemy as being the closest instead of attacking the closest enemy as soon as the previous one was defeated. little annoying that my men will walk halfway across the area to attack an enemy when one spawned just after they started walking and attacks them freely. but i am just starting. as soon as i start actually idling more than i'm watching my men this will bother me a lot less.
my only complaint is that the mechanics are set up to where you just tank hits (let me slap my knee off) but the gameplay is more like a bullet hell. i would like it better if if enemy's shots moved a little slower and did more damage to match those aspects. but that is just personal preference so whatever. really solid game, hope to see more.
"Hi, kinda busy brewing more potions at the moment." son, do you have any idea how much i spent to put you through college and at your store? we aren't even related...
really hate the inconsistency/stupid orders. just as an example, the ppsh. can't remove the sling plate or butt plate before the entire stock, the bolt automatically splits into apart but you MUST click on the main spring to reassemble. there is no reason for the fully assembled bolt to be the incorrect piece to click when it moves just as much as the spring and there is no way the sling plate can't be removed/attached at any time of your choosing.
roulette is way better than the old daily. i've gotten about the same amount of gp in the same time frame. sure you may get 2 nothings once in a while but the minimum CR value is the same as before.
needs more difficulties and/or modes like an unlimited assault on a single city, cash limit, and multiple monsters attacking in unison. it's good now but i feel like a couple of things that are REALLY challenging would be incredible if done right.
idk what just happened, but i "beat" the boss after killing his first wave or two. only broke through his shield once so he basically had full hp. might want to look into it.
