@beragon & FroztySilva: today i tried many times on April 23 to get sub 3 with various tactics and strategies... the result: i have completely lost any trust in what you say. from now on i will ignore all times you write if you don't show a screenshot. anyone can WRITE a good time. look: i got 2:35! :) yeah, right. it's just talking big, doing nothing. unless i publish a screenshot, i made it up. same goes for you. i have never seen any screenshots from you, so that's it.

@FroztySilva: well, you can easily save the screenshot with a simple snipping tool, or get GIMP if you like to do more stuff with pictures. for a simple screenshot the snipping tools are faster. i have the "snipping tool plus" - there is an option in it that saves the screenshot when you hit the print key on your keyboard. then you can immediately crop the picture so only the needed part remains, and you can easily add text to it. it's totally easy to do it all.

@FroztySilva: come on, dude, you don't need to apologize :) it's all cool. it could have been that i got the wrong time if i do the screenshot too early. anyway, from now on i do 2 screenshots: one on the opened portal to show my structures, and one on the overview screen to make sure the time is right. have fun! :D

@FroztySilva: you are really good, 3:06, amazing! yes, i know that the time runs after the totems light up. i always do the screenshot after the time stops. that's why my odin city is gone through the portal if the starting position is close enough to the portal. but from now on i will report here the time on the results graph screen. anyway i'm happy with 3:13 on the april 14 map :) won't try to beat you on this one ;)

@ Frozty: I didn't say it was easy to get sub 5 :) Oh, boy! You have to do your taxes... I hate to do that. But it's better to do it myself than to pay some crook €450+. I plan to get it done it in the summer.

@madestuff In addition to Frozty's suggestions, if you want to get excelent times you should use all features: shortcut keys, pausing a lot [key p], switching the 3 source spots on odin city to manage your economy... and play a lot :) On the april 11 map I didn't push for a good time. I did what I do most of the time: green out the total map :) In spite of this goal, I finished in 8:51 on the first try easily. I used 4 drones and 5 blasters. No mortars were needed. I think, if I would want to finish in a short time, it would be possible in below 7 minutes. It's an easy map.

I bought the game on the developer's website - knucklecracker.com. I created a few new maps - my nickname there is iMiZR1 - that was a lot of fun! Everyone can publish maps there :) And then everyone can download your maps, and publish their score online :) Essentially it's like a race - who wins faster :) It's the same game like this here, but there are some special structures, like walls that you can put on the map :) AND the fact that those maps are not automatically generated but done creatively by us... well it's a HUGE difference :) On the 3 maps I published, you will have a constant challenge, and probably you will fail to finish at least the first time you try ;) If you want a real challenge, there is a bunch of user created maps on knucklecracker.com - some are EXTREMELY HARD to win ;)

If there is not enough challenge for you in this game, set yourself a time goal or play it multiple times, each time in a shorter time. To load all totems in 7 minutes is hard to do on most of these automatically generated maps. It depends on where are the totems and how the map looks. On some rare maps it's possible to finish under 3 minutes, and on some it's hard to win in 9 minutes. The average map is a good challenge to finish in about 7 minutes. In this free game here on kongregate, i like to GREEN OUT the whole map before I switch on the totem packets :) MY GROUND! :D I would love to be able to set the difficulty! I think, the best way to do that would be to set the emitters' output frequency or the amount. It would be nice to have a kind of a slider with at least 20 difficulty levels to set. The minimum output should be that in the original game. The maximum should be NOT more than HALF the survival mode output.

defend the moving ship this way: PAUSE for each click. build a chain of solar stations with 2 energy storages along the ships path. position 1 is the starting solar panel. best position 5 and 9 for storages. one upgrade for all solar stations. upgrade all energy storages. 3 relays at position 10-12. one relay far down from the front relay. one relay at each front relay backwards up and down (wing relays). 3 THIELS and 3 PULSERS in pairs at the front far from eachother. PULSERS to front, THIELS behind. other weapons and repair stations should be on the ship’s path: a PULSER at position 4. a THIEL at position 7. an upgraded repair station near to it. upgrade fully all 8 weapons before motherships arrive. then recycle 2 relays and put 1 solar panel and 1 energy storage there upgraded as the others. 2 PULSERS at positions 8, 9. recycle the PULSER far behind the ship. 1 more repair station at position 11 not to upgrade. distances in the chain to the max. the ship finishes at position 11.

add an option to set the graphics quality. i literally played the game frame to frame. sometimes it took more than one full second to get to the next frame. the only way to play the last mission(s) of the campaign was to pause at EVERY selection and order. the game doesn't react to the mouse otherwise.

now that the resource gain rate is faster this game rocks :) build first barricades only and upgrade them asap. only the 1st, 3rd and the last type is worth the cost, getting better in this order. build up the chain as soon as you have the first barricade of 3rd grade (after 2 upgrades). let the weak enemies bump on your barricade - watch how much reward they bring. if something gives much less reward than it's strength, kill it with a chain bomb. upgrade military units only if your top level barricade is ready. only the last 2 units are worth the investment, so watch your barricade's health. build a tunnel only after the last unit upgrade and only if you have enough resources for units.

FOR THE DEVELOPER: hey! nice hard game on the easy level :) PLEASE don't let a new train come out if a train is too near. a crush that is not possible to stop with any switch or to predict is a flaw in the game. we want to play, not to be angry :) PLEASE fix the zooming reset! sometimes there is a reset of the zoom - only for the game screen. the web page stays zoomed in. idea: TOGGLE HIDE / SHOW ALL CONTROLS, to build stuff where control buttons are. FOR PLAYERS: connect RINGS. build most railroads as part of 2 rings. connect 3 rings with a triangle of 3 switches with 3 SHORT railroads between switches. put a triangle to most factory entrances with a ring attached to it. don’t build crossings, only switches. don't destroy (much) trees or (any) monuments. you can stop trains at their starting station with a triangular switch (or dead end). don't let them out until you have 2 connected rings between the first 2 stations. one ring is ok if the starting stations are near.

Bug: Hard mode was multiplied by only 100% at the end. I killed 3740 ships. I'm sure you don't count all techs in the result points, either. How could you count only 38 discovered techs if I killed the largest shipst with only 2 shots at the end? Huh? :) My main gun was upgraded to an insane level. I could fire it every 0.06 seconds! Do you have an idea what effeort it is to get that level? I played some 5 hours here. Not cool, dude. If you say that hard mode is multiplied by 150%, then do the math, too. I got 1138 points. That times 1.5 is a mountain high new top score on hard mode. Tell me if you fixed this. I wanna set a new high score >:)

easily favorited :) simple rules, tough task. to win: first hit 4 steps from the cat. try to plan steps to be on a path around the cat on every 2nd circle, until she is close enough. then fill the gaps when she's at the adjacent circle.
