in LTF1 and 2 it was mostly about the flying and boosting parts.. and now it's all about launching. stages and boosts just do less, and rotating doesn't really change much if you don't have either of those. launching though, will probably get you much farther fast enough to the point where it's more efficient to launch, wait, and then abort and do it again if you're doing classic or default story mode
why are you even gonna give us a way to see how much distance we have if it really doesn't affect the final pay (other than seeing how close you are to a few medals for BP). this is LTF3, not 2 or 1
