I was hoping for something original or at least worth some investment but got a "match 3" game with pseudorpgism in it. Sad... it does beg for a tad bit more strategy than a typical match 3 game, but without a LOT more to make it worth playing through the puzzles I want to go do something more entertaining after about 2-3 battles... like watch my pizza cook or something.
Well, I've managed to defeat showdown on sandbox, but I don't think it's possible to do it on any other difficulty setting. This game is beautifully done, certainly one of my favorite TD's. I love the challenge level - too bad that it's a one time thing. Would love to see more.
Here's the link to the original posting of this game... http://www.kongregate.com/games/Armegalo/random-defence. People who steal other games and submit them as their own work are scum.
There's a strange kind of frustration that comes with this game. You can be playing a smooth, perfect match and suddenly with no warning you're caught in an unescapable death trap as two bars cut off your escape and a third inexorably bears down on your poor little circle. >_> I like it }; )
This has to be my favorite new TD game... for all those people who think it's too hard, I'm glad to finally find a TD where just throwing all your money into whatever sloppy defense you want will always win. You have to THINK to beat this one, and trial and error are needed to find success. A firm 4/5, and if it had more options and a few other choices for music I'd up my rating to 5/5.
