I would perfer to have a pacifist base like on empires and allies on facebook. You can't attack other plaers and they can't atack you, but you then have to use resources to build the building to do so.
I think that the putty was mostly intended to unlock monsters. Even though it takes a VERY LONG TIME to unlock the full 2nd page of monsters in the monster locker and also A LOT OF PUTTY.
