I posted updated levels scores on FPS, and then improved Sigma-4 to 10. I’d like to see what level scores you have if you have them handy, particularly any scores that beat mine.
Yep, I meant a genuine adder. Since the update I’ve gotten better scores on 4-10 (21), 5-2 (31), and 5-7 (33). Oh, and my highscore on the new 4-1 is 56, which I’m sure can be improved. =)

Thanks for the info about highscores, too, even though it’s a shame. The new update is a lot friendlier to optimizers, but not as much as I wanted it to be…

Let me know if you ever want to discuss optimizing techniques, I’m online a lot and there’s a decent chance I’ll catch a /w message. BTW, you could still add 17 more high score tables. You select 17 of the more interesting levels to score, or you could group the levels in batches of three for sum-scoring, or you can dump 16 of the less interesting levels and score the other 34 as pairs.
Yeah, sorry, 39 upvotes in three years means there wasn’t enough interest in an FPS walkthrough, so I never did it. I could see maybe doing it as an event when the sequel launches though…

I was mistaken about the maximum number of highscores a game can have. I found a game (wild-defense-web2-0) with 36 highscore tables. So maybe you can put a highscore for every level, along with the current full-game highscore.

Hej hej, I just finished Fear Less – first of all: beautiful game. In a response to one of the comments you stated, that you did a paper on the waterfall effect. Is that paper available somewhere?
Thanks! I have the paper on my hard drive, PM me with an email if you want it. It’s very technical, though (read as: boring =) ). It was about using the waterfall effect to increase visual acuity.
How does attack work? I can’t attack the gray foxes—it doesn’t work. Can you provide some better instructions on attack—the tutorial isn’t very helpful in this regard, either. Great game otherwise, but this is very frustrating.
attacking is basically a timing minigame. to attack, you have to press X when the cursor is inside the red range on the blade. if it helps, the girl’s sword flashes white when you aim correctly. =)
