@30923 You have to give Souly a flower while she is in the tower near the Captain, followed by the pit and a Brute. Sorry if it's not clear what I'm talking about
In a future update, could you maybe include classes that change the way the game is played (but not the difficulty)? Examples:
Warrior- better suited for combat and can wear two layers of armor, but collects fewer double jumps and can't throw daggers
Thief- Very agile, collects more double jumps and gets more soulons from stealing stuff, but can't wear armor and must slide tackle enemies or attack from above/below
Assassin- Collects twice as many daggers and can move backwards quickly. However, he cannot slide tackle enemies or confront them head-on (but walking into them backwards is fine.)
Rogue- stays the same
Thanks for reading such a long post. I know that this would be very hard to balance and maintain the same level of difficulty throughout, but if you pull it off that would be pretty cool.
It is a nice idea. Currently the game has not enough gameplay elements to allow a really interesting classes choice. But I will definitely keep your comment in mind for the next, thanks !
I love how many different opinions people had about what the "best squad" was. A lot of the combos I've seen were impressive, but my personal favorite is a rabbit, a ninja and two cats. Very speedy, and the two cats' frenzy makes you incredibly destructive at any rank. Anyway, nice game, I hope there will be a sequel (maybe Christmas-themed, if it can be made in time?).
How about instead of upgrades, which make the game easier, players could unlock things that make the game harder. You would be able to toggle these on and off, obviously (kind of like skulls in Halo)
When you click "Show more stats" in the main menu, you are then given the option to "show less stats". The proper way to say this is "Show fewer stats". Aside from that minor grammatical error, great game, just thought I'd point that out.
This game has a great concept, but it severely flawed in that every monster with a certain trait will be wiped out, and then the very next round you end up needing that trait. Also, the controls are rather sluggish; I was not always able to create 5 babies each round (the maximum) because of unregistered mouse clicks. Good idea, but this game only deserves 1/5 because it's not really beatable.
Fun game! Rather short, though. Took me five minutes and I didn't die once. Still, the game works well, is fun to play and fits the theme. Also, the graphics/animations are the best I've seen yet in this LD. 4/5
ask him about the "spoon", "notebook", "game"... ;-)
