Am I just completely missing something? The towers, upgrades, and costs are completely not equal to the creeps coming out in *level one*? This isn't fine, restarting 3 times to figure out what the exact path I need to take. I'm not gonna waste my time to figure this out.

I'm a big fan of tower defense games but this one ramps up much too fast in difficulty. The easy levels are pretty easy, but the medium levels are much much harder. It was not-fun enough that I didn't even want to beat them, so I have no idea how (presumably) impossible the 'hard' levels are. Upgrade costs are too much, better tower costs are too much, too easy to get leaks in the medium levels. Great potential, doesn't reach it.

The greyed out 'send next' button kills this for me. Games take way too long and they don't have to, since most of the time each level is spent waiting for the next level to arrive after you've killed the last level. That's poor design, as is a total lack of hotkey implementation for placing, upgrading, and selling towers. So much potential in this series, none of it realized.

The tower defense genre is old enough to have certain core features that are almost mandatory for any entry to be considered 'good' or 'solid'. You need creeps, obviously, and some sort of pathing method, and towers to kill the creeps. A fast forward feature. Place multiple towers after selecting a type, or hotkey the tower selections to place. Send multiple waves at one time, without having a timer make a player WAIT, which is decidently un-fun. I love the graphical polish on the penguin TDs, I love the tower and the balance always seemed challenging but not impossible, which is definitely fun, but the actual gameplay has been oh-so improveable!

I like the "point this guy in this direction so his cone of fire covers this area" feature at first, but as has been pointed out, it's kind of stupid to think a guy desperate for his and his buddy's lives wouldn't turn and shoot a monster eating his friend's face. And these guys aren't disciplined soldiers, they're civilians!

Alex. You keep doing this - posting obvious derivatives of the walter reed tutorial. Please stop. It is obvious you have at least the potential for talent, because you do make SOME changes. What you need to do is start from scratch - code your very own. Figure out why something works the way it does and then write your own version. Get it working. Be proud. BUT DON'T PUBLISH THAT! It will just be another generic TD. Now, figure out what you can do to make your TD unique, or at least complex enough to be a valid addition to the genre. There are still a lot of us out here who love TD games, we just detest being given the same one over and over. Like this one.

There is literally nothing in this to set it apart from other competent TDs. Mind you, that implies a lot that sets it apart from the from-tutorial tds, the buggy tds, etc, so awesome job on making your own (I assume it's your own) and having it work pretty well, but you should be thinking about adding to the genre, not being another brick in a big wall.

alex, this is like the five thousandth time this tutorial has been uploaded as someone's game. Seriously. That's why you got all the hate. It's awesome you want to learn, it really is, but it's like going to an art site and seeing the same paint-by-numbers picture everywhere. It gets old.

Game gets ridiculously hard at about level 3. I beat it once and I have no idea how, just got lucky or something, because I can't seem to do it again no matter how I mix turrets or base upgrades now. Difficulty curve is way too steep, which is a shame because I really really WANT to like this.

I really dislike xp leveling systems for towers in TD games because then each new level turns into "play this x times to figure out what order to build towers towards the entrance in." It's not fun, it's a grind.
