Randomly loaded this game up to see what the first 5-10 minutes of game play are like. First thing I find pretty damn awesome was the Intro Trailer. Just because of that trailer I will spend more time on this game giving a it a decent chance.
This is one of the least intuitive and fun Bow System games I've played. Almost every mechanic feels clunky and the overall bow/arrow system feels too heavy. It takes longer than usual to get a feel for where the arrow will go from how high/low you point, because it's too weighted and heavy. Game has a few decent ideas, but does them at such a minimal degree. They become more pointless the deeper into the mechanic. The overall set-up process before/after each round is lackluster and doesn't feel cohesive. For me personally this was overall a frustrating experience.
After my last comment, I have still been putting time on this game. Trying out all the characters and combinations. But I now have my very first gripe. Trying to beat the last boss with any of the melee characters feels a tidbit unfair. The permanent Mind Blast makes it nearly impossible to make any movement/melee/collect health orb. I try to rush kill the eyes, but they just respawn. There should be a limit on the spawn count, and a cool down after killed before they can respawn.
As a fan of roguelike games such as Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, risk of rain, Dungeon of the Endless, Rogue Legacy and many more. These are just my favorites. I thoroughly enjoy this game. I see huge potential, set up a few more classes and make more unlocks. Maybe unlockable items, skills, classes, even new areas. Just by doing certain things or completing certain goals. I find when roguelike games have a deep unlock system, they thrive and succeed. If you could do a few of these ideas, and try to get it greenlight on steam. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Great game with huge potential. I would love to see this on a bit of a more grand scale. Maybe different characters each with their own "larger" skill tree. And more rooms and maybe different paths or choices in doors. Flying enemies are a bit over powered and might need a bit of a nerf if there is a second game. But would love to see more games like this from you. 5/5
I know it's the "Thing" right now. For these types of games to have developers who are money hungry. But it's killing these types of games. There is almost no way to actually progress unless you spend money. Stay away from this one to send a message... 1/5 stars. Game started out fun, then a few hours in I hit a wall of "PAY FOR EVERYTHING!"
Hi there, the game is designed so you can unlock the core content for free by leveling up in game. Additionally, you can earn gems in-game everyday. There is a lot of strategy that goes into the different styles of gameplay to level up. The community is great for tips and tricks.
Can we get an option to change the controls... I am about to quit simply because the controls are uncomfortable. Having them on 123456 would be MUCH simpler and easier on my wrists...
Needs a way to select multiple units. Upgrading/deleting/replacing them all becomes so painful... Also what's the deal with Nokium... I understand that it is the strongest material known to man. But the entire reason I kept playing was "To see what's in the Vault" There should have been at least a Smiley Face and a "Thank you for Playing" after destroying Nokium -_- HUGE LET DOWN for me...
One thing I REALLY don't like is if I do a "Map" after the map is finished it just goes back to the map creation screen. If I don't select Repeat it just goes back and sits there punishing me for not selecting something. Coming from a idle game, it seems counter intuitive...
Ran into a bug that seriously pissed me off. I think stage 9. after I beat the boss on stage 8 and going through the door. It seemed like every monster on the floor instantly teleported to me. I was rushed and lagged to death by a GROUP of monsters far more than 30. Killed me, it was my first run/play through, and I was using the Demon. Unlocked everything on my first run otherwise. It just sucks that I get wrecked by a damn bug. I wanted to beat it my first play through.
Comment Continued - And when you finish the quest line, you're done and left with the feeling you need to retire. I've done a hard reset and "almost" completely filled the traits in a day.
I personally think the old quest system was better. Sure it was less organized but give me one like one hour~ and I've finished the quest line... And the rewards don't even feel balanced. Eh down scaling the game at the moment imo... Bad direction.
Only gripe so far is the text is too small. I am unable to increase the size of the game window or put it in full screen mode... Really strains my eyes
Alright haha floor 80 is kind of mean. I almost died, I noticed my potions magically disappeared. I had to escape just before I died. Made it with 53hp. I went from floor 10 to floor 80 without dying or going back to town. I'm happy lol. Gunna finally take a break and go back to town to lick my wounds. Fun game! Really hoping for some badges! (Beat game without dying please?!?!)
Floor 70 merchant text error - "I don't ("see" missing) too many customers here, and even less lately it seems." - And I still haven't gone back to town once since floor 10 :) and I kill EVERYTHING!!! The Giants/Ogers that started showing up hurt though 300 Attack damage O_O Still crushing them haha! I have a feeling I may end up having to go back to town soon though.
Additionally I would like save slots! My character so far is very Attack/Armor based. I would like to try a Mage, but not lose my monster of a character in the process.
Loving this game! But I am completely crushing it! Path so far = I went from floor 1-5 went back to town fearing death. Floor 1-11 (died because I tried to fight a armored goblin, A LOT stronger than I thought it would be lol) and had to start over with original stuff. Now I have gone from floor 1 to 54! I have not died or stopped to go back to town once! I am 100% sure I could do this again too. Going to keep going a bit later. I will screen shot my end results. :)
