My only complaint about this game is the camos, none of the other patterns look good because the base armor remains green. It should instead change to a color complimentary to the camo you have selected for a better, more unified appearance.
I find this game almost impossible to play because of the whole (un)lock mouse process. You shouldn't have to press the [esc] key and then click outside the game window to move; moving and looking around should be able to be performed simultaneously. I could understand pressing escape to place or remove objects, but its current state is unacceptable and unusable. I would really love to play this game, but until then I can only give it a 3/5 for the concept.
If your thinking about adding online multi-player you should first think about adding more character customization options so their is more variance between players.
So this is a demo...does that mean we will have to pay for the complete product or is it simply a prelude until it is finished, sort of like a beta test or something?
The finished flash game will be free and we will be releasing a modestly-priced iOS game for the mobile market. (There are also plans for a free iOS version as well, with a good bit of great content). We launched this demo for a number of reasons: first, we wanted it to coincide with our Kickstarter campaign which is a way to raise funds to further develop the final game. We also wanted to get some early feedback, and start building our fanbase!
(cont. from prev. comment)If you don’t sell him to relive what you went through, then it is impossible for everything you have done to have happened in the first place and so you could not have met your past self and prevented him from being sold into science or any other course of action. The biggest question I have is why you would sell yourself into science in the first place when he saved you from the scorpion? In the end I can only deduce that you did not travel in time, but in fact traveled to a whole different dimension; so anything done to you would not affect the timeline of this or your own dimension and cause such a paradox. Anyway, this is a very interesting game and I would only ask for more paths if you decide to make a sequel. (4/5)
Wait a minute. If you travel in time and your future self sells you into science, then how do you become that future self? The act of being sold, and staying there, prevents you from becoming that man and as a result, prevents his existence. Since he never existed, then you were never met him and thus never sold into slavery. The only way that this could remotely work is if you somehow escaped you confines and found yourself wandering the desert, only to be saved by your past self again. But the question still remains of why you would force your past self to go through the very process that you escaped from? Unless the testing completely destroyed your mind, or you’re just in a bad mood, and go through with selling him, then you cannot exist either. (cont. on next comment)
One glitch that I found is that if you go in first person and crouch with the Barrett and zoom, the scope obscures you view. It is really annoying for players like me who like FPS. Bedsides that awesome game.
Just starting out, is seems pointless for there to be separate "abilities" and "weapons" button when it takes you to the same screen. There should be one button for a both, or two different screens, possibly more detailed. Otherwise it is juts redundant. Great game so far!
This is a pretty fun game, except for the obvious grid expansion problems. I seem to have pretty lucky as I usually have what I need and can get numerous combos, but I have once again found myself in a rut as I simply cannot do anything with what I am given. I agree with the early statement of how an enemy's shield/health should be one entity or at least damage should carry over from one bar to the next. All this game needs is a few tune ups, it can be very enjoyable.
