This a great game, thanks SpaceCat. I think the Skirmish mode is much too easy, though - even on Hard both levels can be beaten first time just using palisade and tier 3 infantry. Endless mode is much better, though - a real challenge!
Also perhaps add an option to send the next wave of enemies while still fighting the latest one? That way there isn't so much faffing when defences are strong. Still, great game!
An absolutely outstanding game: truly fun and truly informative. I'm a Biology teacher and will be setting this as homework for my Year 12s as soon as we get back from Summer holidays - it's convenient that Cell Biology is the first topic on the course!
Well made and thanks a lot!
Fantastic game, though Music Catch 2 is better :)
For those asking about the music - google 'Isaac Shepard Deep Joy' and you'll get his site - amazingly beautiful piano music, the CD's lived in our bedroom player for weeks now.
Definitely an easy badge - I played yesterday and just re-did it for the points in about 3mins. Also a cracking concept that deserves to be made into something more challenging...
All good fun and well-made, but does stop being challenging once you've got all the upgrades at the bottom and a reasonable set of stats the last 5-6 countries are repetitive and no challenge.
Phew, 5,452,303.9 feet! Once you've got the Golden Gun it's just a matter of trying until you get far enough without hitting spikes or aliens, easy but addictive.
Fantastic transitions, but too easy - this took under ten minutes to complete. I agree that things should be different or they shouldn't, but you quickly get the hang of which differences count and which don't...mind you, having the sky as a difference in almost every level seems a bit of a cop-out! Still, 4/5.
Phew, finally completed it, after losing progress from 31-62 last night. Great game, just the right balance of challenge and fun.
NB: I *think* you have to go back to the main menu for it to save your progress, so don't just close the browser!
I've given up at 27% complete - it's got great looks and is well thought-out, but I'm just not into RPGs enough to play it through.
Doesn't mean it's a bad game though, 5/5, just not for me.
"I Like Turtles" (hard, 30 points)
Achieve a distance of 3 million feet during a single launch [Best so far: 2,889,869]
AAAAAAARGH! Oh for one more bullet...
Aaaaaaargh...well over an hour later I'm giving up at ruddy level 49. I second the comments about there being such a small margin of error for the long jumps, which risks making the game annoying rather than fun, but it's just an excuse really. Great, simple game, if somewhat frustrating. 4/5
