I think I'd like it if the bat swarms and robots added to your velocity rather than setting it at a certain level. It is almost a bad idea to upgrade the bat swarm frequency because if you hit them soon after you launch or right after bouncing then you lose much of your y velocity.
There are a lot of really powerful rune combinations, but there is one that should work that doesn't. I got a rune which gives a bunch of expensive permanent (but fairly useless) buffs and so I turned it into a cloud.
When I jumped into it, it turned spiked my flux from 0 to over 200 (overcharging me) instantly. However, when I tried to use it on an enemy it merely buffed them without overcharging their flux.
I like it so far, but at the very least you need to create a variable for each screen that says what the previous screen is so people can press a "back" button instead of having to go through the entire intro each time.
I liked it, but there were certainly quite a few bugs. Some of the side achievements weren't working so I just stopped trying to get them after I noticed that. Also, the control customization doesn't seem to work. It saves the controls I want, but uses the default ones. And the secret weapon didn't unlock when I beat all the missions.
Ok, I'm going to try not to repeat the ones I've seen in other comments. I will make a special shout out to "Biodome" though since it is HUGE, uses few letters, and gives you a lot of population. It is great for grabbing letters. Other good builds to grab letters - "field", "dam," and "ranch." Also, I don't think I've seen anyone write out "port" in the comments.
Spoiler - To get the 3rd secret head right a few screens from the starting bed until you see the first save location. You are going to have to stand on the leftmost island, jump right, dash up and double jump to get to the screen above it. You'll have to use the same technique on the next screen. Finally, you'll see a platform on the left side of the screen - jump to it, then walk off the right side, jump left and then dash. It is difficult but you should land on the platform with the final secret.
Spoiler - To get the secret in the white area you have to do two things. On the starting screen with the bed you need to move 2 blocks to the far left to create a two square platform - and you need to keep the third block on the far right of the screen. After that you hit them UP into the sky. Then, at the end of the level where you get the black square, you need to move two blocks over to create a platform so you can jump-dash up-jump to get out of it. Then you move a bunch of squares left. I recommend jumping into the second pit to see what you have to do before jumping into the 1st pit so you don't have to walk back.
Great game, I've only played a little bit right now, but you obviously put a lot of work into it. Clearly it is quite underrated, my suggestion would be to change the default controls so that "W" is jump and space takes you to the inventory screen.
16 missions completed...but I have to beat 17 more missions to kill the main boss? I was beating all three missions almost every run through, but it seems rather tedious to make me beat them all before I can even attempt the main boss.
Tips: Buy the Nyan cat zombie - it is the best one. Also, remember to upgrade the Brute to max level. The other zombies aren't as great upgraded because they can die so fast, but occasionally a highly upgraded Bolt or Charming work well.
I love the Decision series. I do have some lag problems when holding spacebar to not move so I can aim. I'm not sure if this is only on night missions. It does help somewhat to change the controls to "attack only" for the mouse so I don't have to hold space.
I like playing with my mouse because my keyboard screws up sometimes and just holds a key down for a few turns, but when I play with the mouse I keep accidentally using items. I'd like it if I could disable item use on mouse click, get it to ask for a confirmation, or move the items to the side of the screen outside of my character's field of vision.
I loved the original and so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. I think the original had a bigger inventory, but maybe I'm not remembering it correctly. I love to hoard items, but I can't really do it with only 5 slots. 5/5 stars. :)
We have fixed it! A seatbelt is added!
