Someone spent a significant amount of time on this game, graphics, hot spots, etc. Unfortunately, the story / order of operations is nonsensical. Half the time I have no idea why I'm doing what I'm doing, far too much pixel-hunting and assumptions (I found a gas mask, but I guess I don't need it to walk outside into an alien planet?) And then, what sense does it make to require me to fix the breaches in the hull before I go out? Who cares? And how do I know that those things need to be fixed? It won't let me out until I do them, my character shouldn't know they're broken. Anyway. Great start, but need a story consultant. 3/5
The grind is real with this one. And not in a good way. My Mac fan started hovering, the fan kicked on so hard within 90 seconds. The idea of mixing a difficulty 18 on level 2 is ridiculous. The game play is 30% of the game, watching animations is 70%, far too much. 1/5.
Games where you have to "figure out" things that are nonsensical (like being able to stand in closed walls and double-jump off a ledge, but you can't jump regularly...immediate 0/5. Terrible, terrible concepts. But they're mostly unique. Only because everyone else who thought of them dismissed them.
The idea that the turrets regenerate nearly immediately is fairly unique. And ridiculous. a 1/5 for exactly that reason. It's not a strategy game, it's a nonsensical, spastic rush in and kill. Oh, and the controls are horrific.
Terrible control metaphor without a mouse. Essentially unplayable on a trackpad or keyboard. I like the puzzle aspect and the movement was fine, but it wasn't "rich" enough, far too repetitive and having to lose to learn how to solve a puzzle is a non-starter for me. 2/5
I finally figured it out and it's AWFUL. On level 2 their guys die half as quickly as mine and they are regenerating 50% faster. Just awful. Your game is not challenging or clever if all it is a knob tuner for difficulty. Make these guy just a bit stronger, make that guy just a bit weaker - that'll make the gamer sit and rinse-and-repeat OVER AND OVER AND OVER. The game is boring. It's inane. I hope this was your first game and you've come a long way since.
The world is ridiculously large. The zombie cannibals are far too fast. Starting over is asininely pointless. There's not nearly enough to do. This game is like 40% done.
This game does some interesting things with powerups, cheats, bullet drainage and the like. I pretty much dislike all of it, personally. But it's not the standard. The levels are nice and short, and yet I still find myself wanting it to be over quickly. Bullet hell games are fun because you get BETTER, MORE MASSIVE power. But not this game, it's the opposite. As levels go on, you get significantly weaker and there's no way to make yourself better, faster, shoot better longer. So, short levels and new concepts give it 1 extra star. 2/5
SPOILER: On level 1 it CLEARLY shows the brighter color making the pattern. It wants it the other way. 1/5 for not being able to follow your own directions.
I would really like to give these games more than a 1, but that's not fair to good game developers. What start out as very promising games quickly fall in to arbitrary, nonsensical, pixel-hunting, order-dependent ridiculousness. 1/5 Only one of the 5 I've played was better than a 1 for those reasons.
