Agree with the statistics...weapons way too often for what they are rated. I suppose it's possible, but it happens with all of them, even the 95% chance ones. Also, there needs to be some slightly better armor, an upgrade system would help, maybe companions (or one specifically) could increase your carry amount of items. Some of the multishot weapons just cost too much to use, and I think another melee weapon top tier would help.
One thing you'll probably want to fix is that the player can shoot through the doors without unlocking them. I killed the last gatekeeper before I could get in there and before I killed the third.
A little tough at first, but otherwise a nice puzzle game. I'd suggest lowering the mana cost for buying and/or increasing the amount given for selling (it seemed like 30 to buy and 5 to sell). Tip for new players: sell your red rubies and gold bars first and try to stockpile wood, coal/rock, and green emeralds as you need them more.
