Unfortunately I'm about to go out so I didn't get to finish this in one sitting. I think I'll come back to it though.
I like the style. I think graphically it could use some work (though at the same time I find the graphics quite charming). The fonts imo are a bit dirty :P (but I've just finished studying a year of design so I suppose I will think that way). I liked the levels, but I feel like a bit more challenge would be ideal, but it's cool to have these chain reactions going off. That bouncy sound is quite satisfying, in an annoying way ^^. I like the idea of picking your path in the story - though after making a choice it didn't really feel like it mattered (I suppose at the end it would though - but I found it a bit hard to stay engaged).
I will try give some more feedback when free + check out your other games!
Well i hope you enjoy my other games, as well as your outcome in this one, the challenge i felt should be there, yes, i was hoping people would play the first few levels for the tutorial effect, and hopefully the rest of the game would offer more of a challenge, i hope it did!
Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
I didn't explain it in the tutorial but if you're closed off in a corner (or anywhere), you can click and then move the mouse while you're shrinking. You don't move while you're teleport-shrinking/growing.
I'll look into keyboard controls - I like the idea of 4-Gon being controlled by the keyboard and using the cursor for gold/pickups/teleports.
Cool! Nice little story :).
I reckon a bit of challenge would've been cool, so the ending had to be worked towards rather than straight up given. I thought the floors and roofs 'smashing' into the screen was awesome. And the story was really nice :). Good work on your first finished game! Finish some more!
You make awesome games Ben! Simple and addictive - a lot like Super Crate Box. I'm a big fan of your low number scoring - I kinda have issues with games where you earn meaningless millions etc.
Thank you so much! And Super Crate Box is definitely a huge inspiration to me, what with the minimalist arcade thing. I'm the same way with scoring, I much prefer a number that correlates directly to my in-game progress.
