@shadyboi... I had the same problem... The key is to get one of the labs and use the red (takeover) special to take the forts right next to the pirate. second key objective is to take the central forts early on and never attack them when they have lots in there... then just push a ton of troops into the forts next to the pirate and then attack direct from there... I finally did it :)
@Glucharina .. yes that is what happened, I ran out of metal and kept buying more... It was getting used up by my component factories but I really didn't understand what was going on... Tutorial could use a few extra screens like "this is water under ground, this is metal under ground, you can build things without the required m and c, it shows here etc. etc."
I was enjoying this game... I got to the component mission and for no reason that I can think of, my colonist just stopped building... They wouldn't build power lines, power plants, storage.. NOTHING. No indication why and no way to resolve. I had a lot of all the resources.. I ordered resources to be sure that I had some of everything (I had a ton of science due to not be able to do anything other than mine.) I set all my colonist to BUILD / REPAIR job only... no difference, they just ran around ignoring all the buildings that we ready to build... BOOO :(
Good game... Quick and not too challenging... Would be cool to have multiple nights... Maybe a stockpile of supplies etc. to see how long you can stop yourself from escaping.. Or a sequel - LOL... Good for 40 minutes of fun... I hit 4 different endings including an epic failure at the beginning... mmm yummy villagers :D
Game was ok, but gets very repetitive and there is little to do other than sit and wait for your units to train... Fast time is pointless because your units do not auto-retrain... I was able to get straight through to the kings league on my first game without losing any of the leagues... Then I had to sit for months training and training so that I could beat the king. Stood 0 chance against that dragon though, but got tired of training....
Really great game. Although I cannot beat the Europe map at all, I'm sure I will eventually! It's nice to have a game that you can't just play and completely beat in 2 hours :D :D
Fun game. Wish there was a harder mode or some way to have more competition... Like perhaps have competing malls... Basically once you complete the game, there is not really much reason to go back and play some more!
