I don't really know what to do at this point. I'm on Ascension 10. My characters do a trillion dps, but my main source of advancement is killing "ghosts"/"invaders" and merging their drops with mine. But past ascension 10, it's just ridiculous... everyone does 1000 Qi dps, and has 1000 Qi health... I don't even know how large that number is, but it one shots me even with 100 trillion hp. I spent 100+ elder's eyes, but I have yet to find even 1 person I can kill. At this point, I'm completely stuck on progression. The only way to progress in my eyes is to get spectral loot from ghosts, but at a certain point you can't get past the hump where people are doing 1000 Qi damage, because there are no intermediary people. There needs to be a more linear source of progression..
