I like this combonly now that I've figured out how to use it. I wonder how long it'll be before someone hoses themselves, though, accidentally hitting "S" with it selected, losing 30% of the 5k for it plus the total amounts that went into any towers that made it.
Played up to wave 270 on medium, got bored, suicided ... didn't get the badges.
I like this game but it gets a bit monotonous, and lags my machine a lot.
If it was a zombie cyborg dragon then any of the dozen PhoenixDowns I had should have taken care of it. Also, I had about eight minutes left, which was plenty of time to fight it.
Ah well.
Mardek is useful: talk to a zombie then ignore the zombie and have your other players attack Mardek for experience. When his health gets low Mardek can heal himself (or, if it's not needed, he can attack himself).
D'oh! the stars can kill you.
Helps with the red lasers to know there are certain places you can stand where you'll never get hit. Except maybe by a star.
And I'm a big grouch. Sorry.
towerroad78, switch to the gun you want to fire and then press 'Z.' It may have to lock on the target first, depending on what kind it is.
jesus, people, I'm talking about music, not all sounds. Thanks, kittie123.
galahan, the point is that it should always be an easily found option in the game. Imagine if your TV only had two settings on sound: "mute" and "too loud." Who cares if you could fix it with a hack; that's not how TVs should be designed.
Is there really no way to mute the in-game sound or at least turn off the music? I like listening to iTunes when playing games.
The game starts off a bit slow (traveling for ages, doing nothing) and there should really be some confirmation dialog before selling things, as well as a notice of how much you'll be selling them for.
Stormwinds 1.5 has a similar concept but is both faster and more whimsical, striking me as much more fun and interesting. This one could really use a speed selector; the levels are too long and there are too many of them for some of these badges.
I liked this a lot at first, but after my troops kept dying I just used them to level up a few times and then defeated the next dozen towns by myself. When you can kill most of your opponents with one hit and capture a city losing no more than 5% of your health, there's something wrong with the math. Maybe increase difficulty of opponents as your experience increases? Or not reset the warrior to full health between battles?
Red_Thunder, that won't work against enemies with barriers (or even sometimes very well against some of the ones that wave, or that stack up in the same place firing at different towers).
I like this game a lot, though I could think of minor improvements (a way to speed it up a bit, and if there's a way to go into the upgrades menu while playing I haven't found it).
