I found a solution for level 12 with fewer steps than the Best Score. It uses more boxes though.
Its increment one number, then rotate through. It uses a side test for if it gets back to 0 with zeros remaining (in wich case it skips a cycle).
I like the earlier episodes of the game but this one was a big step towards greatness for me. In the earlier games there were some parts where I felt you were not pointed towards what kind of point to look for. The games have only got better and better (nevermind the stealth and (at least for me) laggy running in timed puzzle) but this one took it from 4 to 5 stars. (BTW everyone is alowed to rate on their own scale.)
As a last point when contradicting two evidences you should be able to see both lists at once or at least be able to go back to the first choice after seing the second ones.
