I have mixed reaction. I believe there were several improvements made, mostly around some issues in #4. The troops are stronger and don't have to hide behind your heroes, but the heroes have weakened to less-than heroic strength. The troops also (thank GOD) stay where you put or return to that post when they finish fighting someone in melee, fixing one of the biggest complaints from Epic War 4. I think it is also better to upgrade your units in individual trees, that way you don't "spend" resources on a unit that you only use once that you could have you used on another. The difficulty curve is not as steep as the previous games, although some may consider this a drawback. The problem, though, is that the player has less of an influence on the battlefield, because the spells are available rarely. Two steps forward, one step back; it's just the step back is more obvious than the two forward. This may not have been the 5/5 game fans expected, but it's still worth the hours.

One of the best strategy, and best TCG, games that I've found online. It's nice that the creator avoided the (unfortunetly standard) idea of paying cash to get the full experience of the game. The gameplay is very balanced, with my only true complaint being that the CPU almost always has a very good starting hand.

Incredible, thought provoking on many levels. While I usually can't play these search games from start to finish, this held me through with a ominous atmosphere, ease of play, and an almost philosophical narrative. The atmosphere itself is a masterpiece, I believe the room with seven messages was probably the most chilling. Seeing a dead end and then turning about the room to see all those monitors, a sense of dread was achieved that no other game, console, PC, or online has ever matched. Granted, I don't play horror games, but a particularly striking metaphor had come to me. The first time you fight the flood in the original Halo, but to imagine being locked in the room and only hearing them. You know (or think you know) something is trying to kill you, and in the case of Infinite Ocean (there's a reason the flood came to mind) it appears to be succeeding.
