the game might get hard a little to slow but better to late then to soon. Would be cool if you had opponents and actually get a full race :)
to change the graphics of the ship when you press a key add a second keyframe in your ship movieclip and draw the altered graphic. In the if( Key.isDown(Key.Right)) { ... }
add goToandPlay(2); (or maybe _this.goToandPlay(2); (not sure)
on your second frame of the ship movieclip add stop(); in the frame actions.
in the onEnterFrame function of the ship class add
if(Key.isUp) { goToandPlay(1); } or _this.goToanPlay(1); (like the first time)
and on the first frame of your ship movieclip add stop(); in the frame actions

omg 1 beat the game but is says i need to buy it too battel the last guy and it froze when i bought it i lost 20$ -9999999999999/9999999999999' <--- take note of this, if you plan on buying it. and at Fizzy, how in gods name do you even dare ask 20$ for a game with bugs and glitches big enough to make you unable to play it?
A script in this movie is causing Flash Player 9 to run slowly, if this continues your computer may become become unresponsive. This is when you go to load a gladiator, so if you get this glitch you cant ever play the game again, as you cant go to the gladiator select screen and delete him, you cant make a new one. And this happens on every comp and in every browser I could try, so for those of you who paid 20$ I hope it doesnt glitch for you :)

Rated it a 2/5, it's another platform/adventure game.
If you want to stand out in games like this you need great graphics and creative obstacles. ask friends to help with the graphics if you feel you're not a graphics-pro. I like the music though. All in all not bad for a first try, there's room for improvement though

I'm not giving you a low score cause it's a demo. I'm giving you a low score because I dont like the graphics, gameplay and the unbalance in the game. If you make a mistake in your gladiator, you will not even be able to beat the easy fights, just cause that's how your games are set up. Graphics, is a sense of taste, but this looks like a crossover between pixelart and anime shading. The gameplay is buggy, and it crashes browsers (not just Internet Explorer, Camino for example too). I'm suprised you call this a demo. I'd call this a WIP, and like so many people said before, if only you'd be smart enough to give kong the full versions you would haven won the weekly contest and gotten money for it. Now you're just going to be flamed, resulting in actually less people bothering to check out your next game. This has actually been Fizzy's main problem, every S&S was a demo, and every time he got flamed for it --> if you cant take a hint by now...
@ Norbeert: To see the enemies stats you need a certain item (I got a helmet of vision), it doesnt help though cause it's kinda depressing.
@ operator: that's cause the orange helmet you have is from an earlier level. Level 3 green stuff beats level 1 orange stuff
So what if this is based on DTD's concept? If it's better, it's a worthy game.
1. Question to everybody shouting that this sucks cause it's a ripoff from DTD: do you guys only like wolfenstein 3D (the first shoot'em up), Command and Conquer 1 (the first RTS), and Final Fantasy 1 (yes the NES game, the first RPG). Cause every game in those genres is basically a 'ripoff' from the original, if I take your point of view. So dont rate a game bad without forming a decent well informed opinion on it.
for all of you stuck on challenge 15 or 16 just keep going at it again and again and again. You'll get lucky sometime, ok it might take you a 100 tries cause you never get the cards needed to win. but in the long haul, you should get it before reaching a 100 :p
A good card game should never end up being purely dependant on luck. A lot of the challenges require you to draw exactly the right card 3 or 4 times in a row, while your opponent needs to draw the wrong card 3 or 4 times in a row at the same time. I'm sorry but nobody who takes card games seriously will like this. If you play a game you want to have a sense of control, afterall we're not watching a movie, we're playing a game. And this game has as much control as pandemnic 2 has. It has so much potential, but the luck factor is too big for it to be anything but mediocre
