Probably my favorite game on Kongregate, right up there with Legends of Kong. Has a Metal Gear Solid sneaking feel with a Silent Hill 2 atmosphere of desperation. Controls did leave me feeling a little underpowered (as compared to some games) but that was a nice change from the often OP protagonists of recent "horror-survival" games. 5/5
Easily one of the most involving RPGs I have ever played! More classes then your basic DnD set and more plotlines than any Bethesda game on the market! You should follow this one up with a sci fi version that has all the same skills thinkly painted over to be futuristic. Easily a 5/5
The game definitely has potential and a unique art style and I don't see what is wrong with using z to pick up items. That said, "potion" is spelled wrong and there exists major balance issues. AFAIK, dex and luck have no use and magic is extremely underpowered. I get that in order to compensate for ranged capabilites the damage output must be slightly lower. Yet with a pure int build I do relatively little damage compared to the creatures and run out of mana quickly with slow regen. Then I swtiched to a pure strength build and the game became much easier. Hold x to be a walking xenocide easier. Aside from those issues and lack of shop/quests the game looks like it will be fun. Good luck!
I AM running it on linux ;) virtualbox ftw :D
