Is it at all ironic that you have to work to SAVE up MONEY to BUY upgrades. Only after PURCHASING GOODS do you stand a chance of winning the race... well, that and your own INDIVIDUAL effort.
Music is awesome, sound effects suck. This game could use a tutorial stage and a better explaination of how weapon and armor affects work. The debt is a neat hook to give players a goal starting out, but once you are debt free it is less interesting. Maybe if you gained interest it would keep you interested. The end of the game is terrible. You beat every level, including 3 really long and boring end bosses, only to have nothing happen. Badge should be: I just played the final three bosses for 45 minutes and all I got was this lousey badge. Tips for people who need help: Once you get regeneration to 7, you really can't lose anymore. Also, best spell synergy seems to be: healing fire, treasure hunt, fire storm, burning rage, and planned assault + any other spell (I used the magic arrow and never cast it)
Very easy, but well made. Would be great if score was tied to how many moves or how long it takes you (since you get as much time and as many moves as you need). 3/5 due only to how easy getting perfect score is.
I decided to give this game another shot, and it earned another star in my rating. The other day when I played this game, it seemed way too hard. The weakest robots took multiple hits to kill even after upgraded attack, too many robots seemed to fall from everywhere, and I would be stunned for way to long. Today I played and the weaker robots don't seem to take more hits on higher waves, the stun time seems shorter, and this means less robots touch the ground. Since it was easier, the playability goes up, and the game is more enjoyable. 4 stars now, from 3 the other day.
Maybe it is just me, but this game seems kinda hard. Even with ability to buy upgrades, the robots after the first wave seem to take multiple hits and fall from all over the place. This wouldn't be so bad if the buzzsaw and laser gun didn't show up... and the ground falls out way too easily, IMO. I'm a big fan of the developer, but this game won't be getting a high rating I am sorry to say.
This strategy worked best for me: Split up your pts for stats evenly until you get to 50 pts in each category (except rambo, do maybe 35 there). Upgrade guns as you can afford to get a better one until you get rocket launcher. Once you have 50 in each state category and a rocket launcher, just put stat points into shooting until you are about 250 and use all of your money to upgrade rocket lanucher only. The game is pretty easy if you do this up until Zombie Massacre... Then start putting pts into agility when you level.
Fun game. Textures could use some work, reminded me of old doom games. Puzzles were not too difficult, though the last one was a bit tricky, had to write down the messages.
Easy once you figure out how cutting the tentacles can work to your advantage. Try to set up the long distance tentacles and cut them for max effect. Fun game, enjoyed beating it. 4/5.
