First figure out what kinda games u want to make ! then research whether u want to make 3d (unity3d) games or 2d(flash)games !!!! for beginners i recomend gamemaker pro ( cant upload to web) unless you want to for over about a thousand bucks to buy AdobeFlashPro which is the only engine u can deploy 2d games online easily with!!!!!!! I have Flash Pro CS6 and Unity Pro and VISUAL STUDIO C++ and Gamemaker Pro and Multimedia Fusion!!!! but i would start with Gamemaker (40 dollars or so) and see if u like game design!!!
