Rework the extremely low % chances to proc stuff. You die almost instantly due to poor scaling, so we can't rely on low procs to kill enemies. Steady damage and speed is the only thing worth upgrading at all. Make everything else 100% active and vastly nerf them so we can level them up to gradually make them stronger.
5th Drill needs a serious fix. 5k base thermal and 5k and upgrade for 4th drill. 20(yes TWENTY, not 20k) base thermal for 5th drill with a laughable 5 per upgrade. There is currently no reason to even think about buying the 5th drill.
Something that should be added: When you click an ability that targets all, there should be a confirmation, like a big target around everything. This is pretty standard in TBRPG's, and it would help this one immensely so we can see how far down an aoe ability will put us on the action bar.
As someone who enjoys games for upgrades, I don't like this. There's like 1 upgrade for getting stronger. Everything else is just score based, and that is not acceptable in an upgrade game.
Things I don't like about this: Constant thrust. No controlling it for better collection of bananas, which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't also for the fact that there's no magnet upgrade.
Well I was going to play this, but looked at the shop and saw all the best stuff only available on another site. I really wish they would stop doing that, as there's a reason I use Kongregate. Glad I didn't waste time on this before seeing that.
Biggest problem with the game thus far: When you complete the game(reach the moon) you don't get any of the coins or achievements for that attempt. That is a huge issue, as completing the game is a bad thing right now...
Just wondering if anyone found a way to get the achievements: Splendid Bullets and Time Attack. Even on low settings, the game still lags with the slightest hint of anything going on, and from what I can tell, lag or not, 5 seconds is 5 seconds on this game, so any small amount of lag leaves me at a disadvantage till I get my new PC. That said, even with no lag and a fully upgraded SMG, it doesn't even seem possible to use 150 ammo in 5 seconds, again, with 0 lag. If anyone has figured out how to do these, lag or not, please feel free to PM me, or even if they aren't possible at the moment and need to be fixed, PM me that if you can. Aside from that, great game. It's managed to suck a few hours out of my life, which is more than I can say about a lot of games lately. 4/5 until "fixed" then I can give 5/5.
@GarwooD try the best missile ship fully upgraded with 2 of the laser ship mods. Heal for bomb mod, 1 missile weapon with homing and acid, 3 bullet weapons, 1 with homing/affliction, 2 with homing/split. This should yield the highest damage output without having to use plasma. I know I said 2 of the laser ship mods, and you may be thinking that you want to charge the warp core. Just trust me and beat it first without the core cause it's much easier with the ship you unlock from beating it.
Never thought I'd see a Trigun reference in a flash game. At the Rose Inn, one of the NPC's says "Love and Peace." Don't know if it's an intentional reference, but I like it nonetheless.
What I've noticed so far is that rogues suck. I love playing rogues, as they are my top pick in games, but as a rogue in this game you basically can't wear armor... Maybe make some armor with Agi requirements?
You have to stick to light/medium armor. They may seem UP early on but they really pick up a few levels in, especially archery. If others want the light armor to be AGI based please upvote this comment and I'll do it!------------EDIT: The people have spoken and they agree with you! I'll include some rogue buffs/changes in the big update (with monster respawns and anything else thats sorta big)
This is an amazing game that is done the right way. Many game developers are failing to see the shift in style that gamers are interested in. Narrative driven games are an under-sought genre that this developer and a few others gets. Games like Bastion. A commend the way you went about with this game and hope to see more games like this in the future. Not just from you, but everyone. Well done on a fine game. 5/5
