In addition to my previous gripes with alpha virus (which is still the only special event to have happened) it appears to run (even) worse this time around for some reason. It may just be me but it tanks like crazy and is completely unplayable because of the lag.
Yup, alpha virus is as broken and unbalanced as ever. Everyone who has high enough speed skill and armour with movements bonuses can just kite the zombies around in circles for the entirety of the game especially if you get power out. If they also get respawn rate bonuses, they can be back in about 5 seconds. Everyone who invested into skills like defense or HP or damage can go suck on a lemon at that point. It still lags like hell and the alpha virus still teleports around for no reason.
The whole alpha virus thing appears quite terrible: since you have tons of super fast and strong zombies (many of them dark), there is no strategy with positioning. Since the virus flies off in a random direction when dropped and the acid spitters/dark runners that hit like trucks prevent you from getting close, planning where to be when the carrier dies is mostly pointless. Since it's competitive, cooperation and all cooperation related skills are useless. I don't know, it seems a bit random and counter-productive in most cases and rewards people who play very often and/or have very good gear/level (because of no skill or level restrictions from what I've seen) and haven't invested in any team buffs.
tl;dr, what I'm trying to say is that I don't like the event very much.
Rather than complain about the bugs you encountered in pointless comments, please just report them using the kong tool. It's much more helpful to the devs and much less annoying for everyone.
It's nice to see good comrades of our Com- Socialist party in most offices of the nation. Hopefully, this will allow us to keep it steadily improving as is the case in our current, fairly decent situation (I was surprised to see *no* red on the nation stats for a change).
We manage a negative population growth (population shrinking?) of almost 3%. That's kinda impressive, in an insane, hilarious, almost desperating way. Well, at least everyone is both happy and healthy (that's quite important for nice and nutritious soylent green) as they line up to off themselves.

You know, sometimes I wonder why the hell I am even still surprised by this nonsense.
On a brighter note, we should relax suicide restrictions some more so that not only are people still registered in the Hall of Shame if they commit suicide but are rewarded for it and congratulated when they do! That's *exactly* what our country needs, trust me!
If we were to pass a win bill to reset the whole damn thing, might as well make it the Five Year Plan. I mean, the alternatives screw the country over faster than you can say "George W. Bush"... You have "Abolish all laws", "Legalize homicide", "Fund EVERYTHING" and "Nuke Russia for the lulz 'cuz 'Murica". A planned economy is sounding better by the minute, isn't it, comrades?
If we keep just piling taxes up (and eventually phase out other, more spendthrift parties) and our GDP keeps growing at a constant rate, then, comrades, we may one day stabilize the economy and not end up as slaves to China. On a side note, why the hell did our defense budget *increase* after we've ended the completely pointless war with our Chinese comrades? What, will it go back down as we declare war on Russia or something? Seriously, what the hell is going on over in the external affairs?
Let's face it, the debt problem would be solved if everyone joined our glorious socialist party and raised all taxes to 100%. Hell, we even have a bill for 100 clout which helps with the debt... Who even needs an income in our workers' paradise, amirite? Also, human cloning and soylent green ftw.

Actually, you simply have to rush east and sign a treaty with Greenland ASAP. Then, use the cluster of towns in the center of the map to push back west and defend your vulnerable capital against Redosia. Once you have pushed back their initial attacks, you should have enough troops to deal with them easily, so long as you remember to watch your other border and don't let yourself get backstabbed. After you crush Redosia, it's a walk in the park.
