Do you guys not realize that this is just a sort of side expansion to the Telepath series? It's not the sequel to Telepath RPG 2. As it says in the description, it uses the Telepath RPG 3 engine, but IS NOT the third game of the series. Only a demo of the third game is available right now on the SinisterDesign website.
@Locolosco: Is gay supposed to be an insult?
@pigout: Sorry, but you're completely off. Hydraulic is probably the most diverse class in that you can deal the best damage per turn, lock down your enemies, or support your team. It might be less straightforward than the other two, but in general, the classes are pretty balanced.
Quite fun, but also quite easy once you get to the later levels. Three bunkers with 1 EMP and 4 air strikes (at level 5) pretty much rocks everything, usually without taking a hit.
The game is not awful, but it's kinda laggy and the controls seemed a little dicey, though It's probably worse for me since Adobe hates Linux. Best part is destroying the final boss in 1 hit (by catching him in the end of a D-D-A hammer chain).
I'll say it again: Spread machine gun (+damage) with damage buffers (+buff) and a decoy is, without a doubt, the best set up. It doesn't require you to be able to aim like with a heavy cannon, and does damage just as fast. You cannot lose. Srsly.
And a btw, spread beats 360° turning as long as you put it in the bottom left corner.
Seriously, just use the spread machine gun (in the bottom left) with one decoy (in the furthest right) and a bunch of damage buffers. Only put points in damage increase on the gun and damage buff on the buffers. Makes the game kinda boring, tbh, but it's still a great game.
I think what most people are neglecting is the spin. If you hold a direction while in the air, the dude runs faster and faster in that direction, which causes the ball to spin in that direction. When the ball hits the ground, the spin causes it to travel in that direction (sometimes very rapidly, if it had a lot of spin).
It's been said before, but obviously most people still haven't heard: Take off your armor when facing foes with the instakill skill (guillotine blade). The damage increases as the armor level of the receiver increases. Of course, you need to have a high dodge rate or lots of pots to survive with no armor, but that's the way it is.
