Just played this again. Probably the 10th time I've played it through. I love it just as much this time! It's maddening until you get the hang of the controls. And I want to break things when I hit a section I can't master. But it's so rewarding to plow your way through the tough spots and see that golden statue! Please make another game like this!
Having enjoyed Talesworth 1, the game started as a 4-star rating for me. The puzzles are challenging and fun, the gameplay is easy to pick up on. The fact that you've put so much thought into things like saving your item placement on a level if you leave the screen is what put this over the top to a 5-star game. Great work!
I love the game, but there are so many bugs. I finish a level, it doesn't give me a star or an achievement for beating it. I finish it again, still no reward. I'm currently sitting on Big Cross All Splitters mode; all waves are sent, all enemies destroyed, nothing has happened. The level is just stuck. 3/5 for the bugs
It's addicting, but very frustrating. The rating and money systems are just stupid. I just played a match, we won 2-1. I played at medium work rate the whole match, had only 2 chances, and scored goals on both touches. I got a 7.4 rating and a +1 from each group. What more can I do than score on every touch? I don't have enough money to buy anything other than energy drinks. I am barely able to upgrade my skills and relationships due to the energy crisis, much less work on buying nice things. But if I go to the casino too often to increase my money, my boss and fans think less of me and I lose rating. It's so stupid.
Repetitive, simple, way too easy, and a bit hokie - like most simple racing games. You just mash the accelerator and barrel past cars the whole race. But after you've raced to the front, the lead car suddenly has enough speed to hold you off for a bit longer. You always start from the back. The upgrades to your car aren't really that helpful (apart from more speed of course) because you never upgrade the handling of your car. The only relief was the obstacle and slalom challenges to break up the monotony of winning races so easily. 2/5 I got my badges and I'm out.
So many glitches. Game freezes, certain things get stuck and repeat, buttons stop working, exits don't actually exit, they just glitch and respawn you in the same room. Pretty awful to have to reload the game every couple of pages. I usually love these games, but this one has way too many problems to be enjoyable. 1/5.
So if they can't see my spy, why do the baddies' eyes follow me every time I move with the spy? And the helicopters move around like they're following me, even though I'm hidden. So when I approached a building to try to rescue some hostages, the helicopter backed into the barrel of fuel and blew up, killing the hostages.
I thought calling in an airstrike would allow me to select a location to bomb. Before I knew what I had done, I'd kill every member of my team. Houston, we have a problem.
Really nice puzzle game. I thought it was going to be a bit boring, but I found myself very intrigued. Aced all but the last without help, kept getting 8 steps instead of 7. Jayisgames has some nice hints and poilers if you're interested, including the 7-step solution for the last level. Very clever level it is, hard to believe such a simple looking one proved to be my undoing! 5/5
This game could be so much better. If pauses were player-controlled, as some kind of reward for progress, you could use them to your advantage. If the screen didn't shake or go black for a second while the game is being played, often resulting in a death. Too hard to shoot blocks of code in front of you AND find a lane to dodge them in. Because of these factors, the layout of the level in front of you has everything to do with how far you progress. If you meet a solid wall you almost have no choice but to barge through it, skip to the far right of the screen, and hope you don't run into another solid wall for a while. I did discover you can move diagonally between blocks without getting hit (the corners of the two blocks are touching) if you are quick and precise. This helps, but the hard badge is still really hard, and very dependent on what the game throws at you. 3/5
Fun game, my only complaint is that the control stick on occasion and send you in an unwanted direction (especially scary if that direction is down). If this happens to you, just press the button for the direction you're stuck in, and it should unstick and allow you to reverse course.
It may be a hard easy badge, but if you just focus on completing levels you'll unlock more weapons. Once you get the sniper rifle, the game is all downhill from there, and you can replay earlier levels to collect antidotes if necessary. Turned out to be a very quick path to the hard badge using the flame launcher for the last few levels. 4/5
@Wazoo - grab a crocodile and find a group of enemigos. The rapidfire weapons like the crocodile and chainsaw can actually generate more hits per enemigo (like up to 15 from a single death) without launching them off the screen.
