Perhaps I missed something but I'm unable to regroup those units into another number (i.e. 1~2 for infantry, 3~4 for archer and so forth). This is quite troublesome since after a few levels, I learnt that only your range units have to move while the rest of your units are supposed to form a protective circle. So it would be nice if I could control from, for say, 1~6 for all the melees and 7~ onward for range. Would reduce the awkwardness of controlling units.
Overall a fairly enjoyable game, 4/5 due to difficulty in controls and mindless slaughter (seriously, I have no idea what I'm doing other than forming the said protective circle and moving only to kill those pesky magicians).
Got the bloodless ending on the second run through. As a matter of fact, it should be known that it is impossible for lacoast to have the last missing chest. This is mainly due to the linear placement of the chest; that is, it's in the middle of the road to the switch/next area so you will encounter it either way. The one I missed is the one above the Penguin's Feather. For those referring to jayisgame guide, take note that the 'cave' above the Penguin's Feather doesn't refer to the cave where you came out and get the Penguin's Feather; it's the cave a lil' to the right of the screen. Hope this help those that can't get the final chest. Take note you don't have to replay the game to get all the chest; it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to miss any/can't get any after certain checkpoint.
I'm at 2-18 and I'm afraid of this game. I took roughly 3 minutes per level (including all the clicking to sell stuff, etc etc). Assuming that I will constantly get 3 stars on each level, it will takes (again) roughly 360 minutes to finished the game. Which is equivalent to 6 hours. Yes, I'm so very afraid. They should've put MINI ENDURANCE BADGE or something. Heck, most of the time I'm just spamming the number '2' key until the building broke. This is truly the pinnacle of an arduous and tedious game. Oh, silly me, I wasted precious time posting this. Time for another 3 minutes level.
It's difficult to rate this game. As a physics puzzle game, it's way too lenient on its difficulty scale. On the other hand, it had some awesome and witty video to boost the idea behind it.
An advice for those aiming for the hard badge:
Make sure that you max both speed and boost, raising handling as high as possible without affecting the other two. First place is impossible without maxing both of it. For the problematic Turkey stage, drift during the first corner with the road block thingy; pressing boost when you're about to touch it. This way, you won't lose too much speed while being able to survive that curve. If needed, slow down a little before boosting.
Okay... so I keep on missing my strongest skill (the 4th attack) against Phantom and after the 3rd failure, a single 1st skill (500 POW) deals 3200 damage; almost 1.5 of its HP. That's pretty... surprising?
Found some rather inconvenient stuff. When I use in-training item + training/pet mode, it doesn't go to the next week. However, once I did it again, it skipped a week. This causes me to miss a lot of tournaments :(
One simple piece of advice. Go to your Control Panel, then your Mouse setting and set it to max. I did that and barely won the Hard Badge. Heck, even then I wish my hand would just lengthen as I wish so that I can twist the mouse more. Oh, and take off your mouse pad; smoother surface is better. And if any of you win it on default setting without speed to the maximum... congratulations. You are AWESOME!
So, I was packing my stuff before adobe crashed. I restart, within moments later a hole appeared directly on top of my companion. Then, she died. Then I tried going out and it say I should save her, I goes *click* *click*, nothing happen, goes out the door, come back in and huzzah, lost one companion.
Quite a simple game; I simply rushed for wood at the beginning and spam the strongest tower. Then, try to alternate between stone/wood; upgrading or building new sweep towers dependent on which is quicker. Occasionally match gem and equipment, then pause to manage them before continuing. As long as you make leveling the character your main priority, winning the game is simple as character level + equipment will carry over to new level.
Despite the innovative and the simple design of the game, it lack intuitive gameplay for new players. Furthermore, I concentrate so much on resource gathering that I finally ignore to look at how my tower is doing at all; resulting in certain lack of fun. [4/5]
Haven't finished the game yet, though I must comment on the music. Either it's heavily based on Kingdom Hearts theme song, or it's the 'rock' counterpart of it. For the curious ones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g25QXnhVijQ&feature=related
It's an ironic game, and should be treated this way
