What's up with all these robotron genre games as the badge of the day? It is not possible to play these on laptops with touchpads, or at least not enough to accomplish these badges.
Only decent due to the buggy and limited save feature. Also, I had to do level 10 twice as the first time did not register me a badge due to a weird bug, I believe it had to do with having the dialog disabled.
I hated this game at first. I decided to keep playing. The key is to upgrade the lives as early as possible. At 2,000 points each at the end of each level, you can make 250,000 on those alone. I build two wealth towers as early as possible and then build other towers as money allows (usually pure wind towers). If I do have any leaks I build a life tower, which tends to give out hundreds of lives during the course of a game. After first hating the game, 5/5, you just have to be patient.
I tried to win using some of the suggestions, but could not. Here is what I found. Be sure you do use autofire for all of your arrow types. It is critical the arrows hit "THE END" in the chest constantly. If you aim at the head, they miss and go by. I used only angels and occassionally a dragon or golem, if I could spare the mana. If I get in a pinch, I use hobbits, but they are thrown in the air and absorb arrows, which is very bad as the damage does not apply to the boss creature. Using this, I was able to win quite easily.
Here's my strategy for later levels: I only buy elementals and wyrms. I place these around my entire base. If possible, I leave the nine tiles around my base open for the interest housing unit. I be sure the range for the elementals is at maximum. For level 9, I demolished many houses and filled every space on the board with elementals and at the end, wyrms, even the walking path. I won without the enemy even getting halfway down the page. I supported my troops by firing arrows at the enemy from close range. This is a good tower defense game, 5/5.
