Based on the first 6 levels; the game works, the music is great, and I like how there is some actual difficulty in the game. But unfortunately I'm just not "feeling it"; for example there's no effect when you fire stuff or when bullets hit you, and the graphics are kind of repetitive and simple/generic, so it's not very engaging. Don't get me wrong; everything there is in the game is done well. It just feels like I'm playing more of a test version than a finished game.
Oh and this is a perfect example of how games that are intuitive and let you figure stuff out by yourself are way more fun than the ones that explain everything to you. :) So points also for that.
Very creative and funny puzzles, many points for that! The controls and animations are a bit clunky though, which is unfortunate as they're a big part of the platformer game experience.
It seems Nerdook has made a name for himself for releasing so many super fun little games. Liked this one a lot too. :) The dialogue was hilarious, and nice touch with the changing "ok" button. Similarly to other Nerdook games, it's also exactly the perfect length. Just as you're almost starting to get tired of the game mechanics, it ends. :)
The gameplay idea is fine and the controls work great. However, the levels could maybe be a bit more imaginative, and not having any reward for getting all the stars was a definite "boo" moment for me. Still, not bad!
Nerdook games never fail to entertain. :) Extra points for the pleasantly spooky looking demons. Also, my Santa was an epic damage-dealing machine towards the end. :p
Looks and sounds very pretty, big ups for that. I find the gameplay WAY too easy at first, though. The first worlds had practically no challenge at all, so the game didn't capture my attention enough to continue playing.
I was going to say this upgrade-distance-whatever-genre is seen too many times over and theres not much skill or strategy involved here - but then again this game is fun fun fun and that's the important part. :p
