Mithril (along with a lot of standard modern fantasy faire) was invented by Tolkien and first appeared in The Hobbit.
Fantastic game, has a lot of potential for expansion; upgrade paths, different stages, perhaps the possibility of designing your own base using a point system.
Finally beat it. 84 took me a long while. Thanks for the fun, this was one of the most imaginative and challenging games that I have played in a long time. (o:
Another fantastic offering in the Protector series. Some of the music is excellent, the animation is much improved, and the UI feels responsive. Thanks for the great game. (o:
There's a lot to like about this game, especially compared to the original Pandemic, but there's one thing to hate: Madagascar. I have spent several games watching that country in particular - often, I can go a whole game and Madagascar never receives a ship. Not once. Seems like the game is impossible to win unless you actually start there.
I really like this game, but Madagascar makes it unwinnable. )o:
Very fun game. A bit easy - I got all of the badgers my first time playing - but still very, very fun. Would love to see a version with a larger 'screen', and an option to disable sound. If it's there, I didn't see it. (o:
Very cute game. (o:
It does seem to be based more on luck than anything else, especially at the higher speeds. There is no way to respond quickly enough to maneuver our little friend to where he needs to go!
Would love to see more upgrades, slower pace so that skill enters the game, and perhaps objectives to complete on the way to getting into space.
Good game, though it is rather easy. I'm not sure why some of the people here are commenting that it is too difficult. (o:
Two things in particular make the game easier: Starting with higher grade gems, and low building costs.
Being able to move gems around and combine them is very nice - reminds me in some ways of the 'Gem Tower Defense' game that I've played elsewhere.
P.S. - Getting really sick of these stupid 'EPIC' and 'FAIL' signs.
Best strategy that I have found so far is to send out two or three swordsmen, then two mages, then spam spearmen. The swordsmen soak up damage while the mages pummel the enemies, clearing the way for a giant wad of spearmen. You can start taking out the demons with this as soon as you buy the mages.
