Huh, you can drink potions to clear your inventory screen now when picking up items? Just change to inventory screen behind the chest display and drink, and it works. Then dump one item on the chest screen and the whole thing updates.
Actually it reminds me of Canabalt, and Tower of Greed more than anything else; I love the fact that it doesn't have upgrades. I keep getting 'oh!' moments, which I wouldn't have without upgrades, and I love it. Things like the fact that you can slide just about every enemy and get away with it, like how you can stay off the ground by parachuting everywhere, pulling off combos. And it's addictive.
the fade out screens last too long, and although the events themselves are interesting, because of the loading times it doesn't make people want to play it enough to see more of it. Interesting concept, but I'm giving up here, because, ugh.
It's...alright, I guess. I do like the music though. Not really a ... game ... and the poetry's a little...uhh...I just think that if you'd made a little more effort in the game part of things, you'd have made a 'meaningful game' rather than ... what it is. Ability to jump? Obscure things? I like that 'even my shadow has left me' line. It's such an interesting poem, more could be done with it.
PocketNeko, Heroic Rush heals your heroes for about half their health. It may also buff their damage and leadership, but that's not noticeable for the present.
Or better yet, I'd rather we switch to the more deliberate style of match-3; the type where you can move blocks around to set up combos. It's just too luck-based at the moment. You can't really plan ahead with only one or two possibilities, and the RPG/TD aspect requires timing to set off abilities properly. Right now there's far, far too more fake difficulty for me to /really/ get into the game, so 3/5. It's original, which is why it hasn't dropped to a 2.
it's in the Mirran quest because the Mirran side is about enduring, and the length of this badge seriously requires persistence/endurance.
I just hope I haven't suddenly joined the Phyrexians yet, I want to get this one.
love doesn't exist by the numbers. when you're down, just focus on the moment. at the end of it all, you might be happier than you expect.
(that tip about 'up and down keys to show your score' keeps popping up)
@Leafblower -- it's a smart move for developers; it's not that difficult to click one + button, and it allows them to see how many people really want to have it. I like the fact that they're actually responding to the comment, though.
I want some kind of narrative to this. It's a sandbox tool, and it's an amazing one, but if it had a narrative, I'd be replaying the game over and over. Then again, I AM replaying the haikus over and over...
about the secret note, though, kcho, which consequence were you worried about? The moon was set in the same direction in the mural, which would create no problem for the plate, and the photo that you take of the moon constellation would make it easy for you to find the difference and thus the secret note.
simple but repetitive. It's okay if you're looking for something to relieve stress, because it's not at all hard - but it's not something I'd invest a hundred hours into.
It's fun you talk about Tower of Greed, because the "game sequence" thing comes directly from this game. Thanks for the comment.
