*** Pre-Battle ***
Step 1 -- Choose Men from the West
*** Battle ***
Step 2a -- Make one line of swordsmen
Step 2b -- Make a swordsman in another row only if there is a unit you can take one on one.
(The idea is to build fast units in one strong line to kill more than the computer and to allow the computer to waste time building strong units in different rows, while your making faster units in one row. Each unit that passes gives the same amount on the meter)
(Another point: go against fast units and archers; move your strong line if its being trampled on by strong units. Don't let the computer kill too many)
*** Upgrade Order ***
Step 3 -- Upgrade Swordmanship to 5
Step 4 -- Upgrade Speed to 2
Step 5 -- Upgrade Armor to 1
Step 6 -- Upgrade Speed to 4
After step 6 you should have 1-2 more territories to conquer. Keep trying the same strat 'til you win. Save your gold to upgrade swordsmanship.
