I'm all for puzzle games, red_devil, but a puzzle game, in which your movement is so tightly restricted, and available space so crowded, doesn't inspire a desire to solve it, it just makes a person frustrated and claustrophobic. Also, this game is nothing new if you ever played one of the little traffic car puzzle games for 5 bucks back in elementary school.
Not bad, but control over the map needs to be much more convenient since you need it to both control what's going on and to see where your other passengers are. As it is, when the map is closed, I don't get any idea of other passengers which might be waiting.
Also, skeletons shouldn't bleed. Also, when archers get their heads chopped off, they probably souldn't retain the dexterity to continue shooting you with arrows.
How is this any different from achilles? That was an awful game, and this one is too as a result. The graphic for the spearman is literally the exact same, only with different coloring and without a helmet.
I love this type of game but this particular game needs a lot of work.
Why have two types of ammo?
Why have multiple rifles when it is trivially easy to just save up for the best one right off the bat?
Why is the mission where you shoot through the glass easier than the training mission? In fact, pretty much every mission is easier than the training mission.
Why is the font completely out of line? The rifle descriptions run off of the pop up windows on both the left and the right. Much of the text appears tiny, and is sometimes overlapped by other text. I never know how much ammo I have because the number is so tiny.
These are common sense things. You can't expect to earn a high rating with such glaring issues, no matter how fun it might be.
I really really want to like this game. I think the art is great and the characters are interesting. It has all the elements needed for a good game - except interesting gameplay.
As it is, there are two factors involved in playing this game: being able to guess what you're oppnent will do (1) and sheer outright dumb luck (2). Arguably, the first element is part of the second element.
As a result, it doesn't feel like anything I do matters. I can try as hard as I want, but I'll still lose if my characters miss a few times while his crit. I could also try not very hard and still win by getting a few lucky procs. Since anything I do outside of switching and intercepting is fully dependent on luck, what this really becomes is a game about who can execute their switches and intercept with the highest degree of success. And since both successful switches and failed intercepts waste an entire round without any damage being done, it just feels like a huge waste of time.
