I have been playing for about five minutes and already I am bored out of my skull by the utter linearality of this game.
There's no question about what to do, no choice in how to do it. You don't even have to locate the right things to click on - it highlights them all (admittedly, the reverse would be worse, given the graphics). There's no way to fail! There's no challenge! Ugh.
2/5
To clarify: This program fails to meet certain basic attributes of games, among them "player effort" (you don't have to do anything to get to the end of the game) and "uncertain outcome" (there's no way to win or lose). You know, you can't just throw a fish on the table and claim it's a giraffe.
Intriguing concept. I like how you're not rushed to make a decision - it's not "play against the clock" the way so many are. The color ramping is nice, and the music is pleasant. I'd like to see a larger playing field; this seems a little cramped. Other than that, great game!
I completed the first puzzle with what appears to be a correct solution, but it says that it's wrong. And it marks red a bunch of boxes for rows that are clearly correct, so the red boxes don't help! Is this just "you didn't solve it the way I expected you to"?? Needs better solution-checking ability and a clearer way to mark "here's where the problem is".
codysaidhi, you lose when you have too few balls to complete the level. This game is pretty sweet... I gave it five stars. Nice concept, decent music that seems to match the mood, pretty challenging yet doable. Bravissimo!
I appreciate the desire to show us some neat illusions and stuff, but... this is a game site. If you can't make a game, go find someplace else to show off your ability to compile a set of popular illusions. I gave your attempt 1 star because it fails to show a reason for being on this site.
Would love to see an updated version: longer, more user controls (e.g., choose from among numbers, letters, symbols, and pictures), maybe some color, and maybe some different shapes instead of just one big box. Although the "one big box" approach does seem to be working here, so maybe stick with that and just give us more variation on the other elements.
I love this game now, but I have a major complaint: There seems to be no correspondence between the monster sprite (picture) and its element. Fire elementals, jellyfish, electric jellyfish, etc., you'd think they'd have a set weakness but instead you have to check them *every time*. Why??
Simple idea yet the levels that come from it are anything but easy - yet doable if you just have the patience. I agree with axemen23 - a "super stress killer" that kinda makes you zone out and just relax. I like the color scheme too. Five stars!
Excellent job... I don't play horror much, but this does all the necessary things: heart rate up, creepy-crawlies on the back of your neck, etc. All with minimal detail ('cuz it's all dark!).
First rate!
Excellent! With an anatomy game and a couple good geography games here... I'm looking forward to seeing more education-based games on this site. Maybe even enough to form their own category someday!
Next one I hope to find? The periodic table.
