To all of you complaining about the pitfalls in this game's story- This IS a flash game! What quality of storylines do you expect from a flash game? The only reason people even bother to complain is because the designer tried to explain their concept. How many other flash games actually bother to explain how the world got to the state it's in? Step back, maybe chuckle to yourself about some of the pitfalls, but some of the vehement comments out there really don't belong.
Okay, so there are parasitic aliens who are unaffected by gunfire, become more powerful by nuclear blasts, and can are intelligent enough to mimic complicated technology such as helicopters... And these amazing creatures are unable to design their own antidote to this poison or break through a human blockade for 3 years? Explanation please!
If this concept had been pushed to be more puzzle oriented it would have expanded the title 3 fold. Instead you went for a danger oriented game that requires timing rather than any actually thought provoking gameplay. With a successful balance between action and puzzle this game could be a 5/5 title.
I got my pawns all the way to the end... Why didn't they all turn into queens?
Oh and bug alert. A giant army of pawns breaks the base's turret defense.
Beginner tip: Upgrade energy syphon on the Hulk ship. As of right now energy syphon is probably the best attack. The attack costs 40 energy to use, but while using it you instantly regain 20 energy making this attack actually the cheapest of every attack. Energy syphon also deals 1 more damage per level and can hit many opponents in 1 attack making it very useful for crowd control. Last but certainly not least, energy syphon drains 1 more energy every time you level it up. After a while this attack will cripple your opponents' ability to attack giving your team more healing time.
By level 20 you will be able to drain 23 energy per attack per opponent while doing 27 damage per hit and if you've maxed out energy regeneration by that time you will be able to use this attack continuously without ever having to rest.
level 12 is pure bs... If you want to beat it here's a tip. Stay alive as long as possible while taking out one of their bases every once in a while. That should give you enough health to stay alive and keep the wall of enemies off of your tail for another 15 seconds. The center 4ish bases will eventually move closer and closer to one another. When 3 or more of these bases are directly on top of one another you should be able to take out many of its turrets very quickly allowing you to heal and go into 'rage' mode. This combination should allow you to survive taking over the overlapping bases. Once you have the over lapping bases their many turrets will keep away enemies and the spawned troops should make finishing the level relatively simple. I went back to level 12 after getting all of the upgrades and still find it difficult. Be forewarned.
Honestly this game is more engaging if you try to beat it without upgrading your virus at all! It's possible, and makes this game actually difficult. Yeah it's fun having a virus with maxed out reproduction, strength, and defense, but I for one enjoy the challenge of beating down opponents though sheer strategy.
To those of you who can't seem to get past day 3 before becoming bankrupt- There is a thin gray bar above the game speed control that gives you a list of things you ought to do when you start up. You get paid for finishing these goals. This game is impossible unless you actively attempt to accomplish these goals. I lost my first 3 playthroughs in under 3 days before I realized the goals list. + so people don't get frustrated and quit this game before they begin!
