Third comment, but I know how to win now, so I'll share with all; lower the quality. If you had the same problem as me (things getting so damn slow when monsters swarm and your attacks getting sluggish) this is probably why. The actual time goes normal but the graphics slow everything else. That might also be why the missions are harder too.
Please rebalance the final boss. I got all maxed stuff for all party members, buy the highest level runes, and it's STILL not enough to win! I don't mind a challenge, but this is ridiculous. His mind field spells hurt, he teleports a lot, has a barrier that requires to be taken down first before hurting him with a very small time window in contrast to his massive HP pool, and his minion spawn spell. My GOD the minion spawning. All this wouldn't be so bad if he doesn't spam them so much, and that the number of minions (as well as mine fields) grows as the boss gets closer to death. But it scales, and by the time there's so many high level minions around, death's only certain
Some of the quests are broken and stupid as ****. The sudden death ones aren't AS bad until you fight the ranged fighters, but the timed ones are really bad. Especially the first timed quest where you're given only 30 seconds to kill 45 enemies with irregular spawn times and only lv 1 weapons, as opposed to the second timed mission that gives you 40 seconds to kill 35 enemies. The rest of the game is great at least, but I kind of wish that in some of the missions you could control the other NPCs and get a feel of their play style as opposed to the knight/hero.
Do the levels actually effect the gameplay? It was hard for me to tell whether or not I got further because of higher damage input and lower damage sustained with or without the equipment upgrades. If there was some values that show that, it would greatly help. Other than that, this game is very solid and loads of fun. Thank you for making this!
