@tipmon. Lasers don't arch from one target to the next. Being a single wavelength of amplified light, they shoot a single beam and it goes until it hits something, at which time they are stopped or burn through and continue. The weapons here arch and twist like a electricity coming off a Tesla coil, so they are definitely not lasers.
Godo game overall and nice twist to a defense game. Some things I would fix: 1. center the world so all sides have the same distance to the target. 2. don't pop bug in existence right on the map, what did they do, teleport? 3. make the weapons that auto target, like the missiles, better at it. The targeting was so bad the seeking missiles were basically useless. 4. All this land, how about letting us setup autonomous towers on the islands to help as well? It would be much more useful for the affect type canons. 5. Upgrade paths on the cannon, also be nice to see combo cannons, either working in tandem or as a combine idea. Also balance them better, it is easy if one just loads up on "laser" cannon. 6. Shields? 7. Your laser weapons are not lasers they are electricity weapons. 8. More variance in the levels, perhaps different maps, something, it gets repetitive fast. Very polished, a bit more effort and this could be a 5/5 game.
Good game again. My only complaint is that most levels are easy and the ones that are not (like the last level) rely on the pixel placement or timing rather than logical thought. E.G. on the last level, getting the last piece exactly right to flip around to hit the guy is luck and repetition rather than knowing how to solve the puzzle.
A very good example how a simple game can be packaged well to make it more interesting/fun. Good job, but @ 10 turns to finish, it really doesn't grab my attention for very long.
I don't mind games in the same genre, however if the only thing you do is change the graphics a bit and game play is exactly the same as others in the same genre, it is not cool original or fun.
The resource gathering is a neat idea, but half the time the guys sit in a warehouse I have said should have no people or resources in it, not cool when there is limited time. The other problem I had was sniper nests with full ammunition and people, but yet they stay red X out and they don't fire on zombies. Kinda weird, but a neat idea.
You have just entered a twisted alternate reality where you can blow up the middle of a bridge and the whole bridge stays up with tanks on it, where the edges of a bridge can be blown up and the whole thing stays ridged and still allows troops to cross, 30' down, where the bridge miraculously catches and is still strong enough to let the troops cross into a mountain side. A reality that is so far from our normal physical reality that to play a game in such a reality is at best an exercise in frustration. 2/5, becasue at least it looks good.
*singing* This is the game that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends... *singing*
Nice to see 3D Flash games, but it would be nice if you fleshed it out a bit, more locations, goals, etc.
This has a lot of potential. I can think of all sorts of things to add to make it cooler. 1. Some sort of enemies, say a shark that can bump you around, squid that can blow ink if you get to close. You can also add "air bubbles" under that could be O2 over tanks just lying around. Also some upgrades could be one shot uses, like say emergency O2 and shark repellent, a shield that helps for a while with depth once activated. Next I would add cool achievements, like deepest dive, longest underwater without surfacing, etc. Also you could make open ocean dives then, with other rewards, like sunken ships, or stopping oil leaks, with the enemies this could be a challenge. Also some sort of timer would be good, so one is challenged to do these tasks. Etc. Last I would make the upgrades make the sub cooler looking all the time, until you have a bad-ass looking deep diving machine! Put a story line to it with different challenges each level, and this would be a 5 Star game.
Fish + plankton /= whale! Whales are mammals, they did not evolve from fish, but a land animal that went back into the oceans. Something like elephant+water=whale makes more sense. :) still coll puzzle 4/5
I really enjoyed this game. Getting the kill order right was sometimes just as hard as the locations. Liked that the spikes sis not kill if you hit them on the sides. I just wish I could turn off the music and leave the SFX on; no matter how good the music is, a looped track always gets annoying. 4/5
