Was it meant to be able to beat the game at an early level? Beat it at level 21 here. Completed every hunt/quest except for the 'Crates 2', and of course the ones I don't have access to (low level). Nicely created.
Huh...glitchy. I immediately started, first thing I did was start moving troops around. Well; I removed one spearman, and it just disappeared. The 'spearman available' number didn't even go up by one. Now I have 5 instead of 6 that I can place around...weird.
Tip from having beaten the game: the most damaging tower is an upgraded flamethrower. Air units are generally weak, plasma will take care of them, or tesla, just have them behind your flamethrowers. Can beat every level like that. Each level purchase "more $ per kill" boost, then your set.
@violatorgames - "Re-read my comment. I said TOWERS, not UPGRADES. TOWERS = permanent, UPGRADES = temporary." ....I understand what you want here, word choice would clear up a lot. "Upgrade"=wrong, "Buff/Bonus"=Better. =]
Glitch: sometimes, using the "purchase all upgrades" button (nice feature) attempts to buy the next upgrade, but can't afford it, and you wind up with negative money and didn't receive that last upgrade it tried and failed to buy.
-_- after ALL that saving, Casino's description is +5 gold ...it didn't give me any gold. I've seen a couple things give different numbers than description states too. Players should know what they're getting.
You REALLY need a confirmation for RESET. I accidentally clicked it while trying to scroll quickly (traversing navigation isn't very easy), and boom everything left right away.
There seems to be a glitch with the Warriors "multistrike" ability. Occasionally, it will only hit as fast as a normal attack. Minor glitches aside, the game is a very basic - but well implemented - Diablo Lite. Nicely done.
Hmmmmm...unless I am mistaken, how much loot is being sold at is a value randomly selected upon visiting the town (certain towns have different 'ranges'). Don't see a price you like? Visit another town, if still not good, go back. I've sold the same town their own product for nearly 2x profit....
The problem with games like these is that I don't feel like I'm flying a ship, I feel like I'm flying a box of blocks and don't really care about the design. Quite literally just pack in a couple shields + every regenerator you can find, and you can win this game easily
There are very many good qualities about this game. One -very- unique and interesting twist to accept is - you are not being "challenged" by bosses...you're "hunting" them. If you let the song finish, the boss escapes...so all they're doing is shooting at you to delay you while they try to run away! The bosses are running from you! :) Very catchy music with synchronized bullets, the requirement to 'scrape' to deal damage, the forgiving nature of getting hit a few times/still getting perfect...this game is all-around fun. 5+
Lol. I broke the game. Defense mission - just ONE Stardock making carriers, and nothing but 'Physics Lab' after that. I made SO MANY carriers + basic fighters that they launched that the level stopped. I think I killed the enemies the second they spawned so it didn't trigger that I won. xD I'm seriously making carriers like every 1/4 of a second ... got any idea how many ships that is?
Quite honestly; rather than going berserk spamming out fighter bays; I like to spam Stardock + Carrier. With the carrier upgrades and structures healing themselves; you get lots of base turrets (stardock) and carriers swarm the map with basic fighters and themselves. Heck; defense missions? Just build 2 and you win. Build more for complete overkill.
I just don't find fighter spam fun. -shrug- :)
Honestly; this game ticks me off to no end. The AI of my troops are stupidly pathetic, all they do is aggro-aggro-aggro and I can't freaking give them a worthwhile move command. They just charge to their deaths. This game irritates me so, so, so much.
