Nice game. Control is a bit finicky, as long as theres no timer or precise movement necessary I think its much of a bother (I only got to the medium badge - level 5 so my opinion on the control might change)
I'm at 3rd boss fight and crafting speed is painfully slow and people are saying its only getting worse. Seems like there are ways to increase crafting speed (museum?) but it come in late game. This game needs a crap ton of improvement, people were complaining since August and still there are a lot of complaining (but some are already fixed). Maybe I'll revisit this game later but there are a lot of quality of life improvement need that need to be addressed ASAP. First and foremost, crafting speed or at least ways to improve it needs to be available yesterday. Unbearably slow.
Here's a tip for people who are not familiar with these type of paint/color puzzle. Imagine there are layers/levels to each color and the tools provided determine which layers e.g. safety hat means doing top first so you can lock in/preserve the top half. Sunglasses/Night shade means doing the 'eyeballs' first. Plant levels are a bit trickier but not by much. Flowers die/reset while grass go thru 4 clicks turning brown and stays that way.
Biggest issue with this game is that there is absolutely nothing else you can do in between accumulating enough resources to either buy packs or going to the next expansion/stage. Added to the whole monotony doing just that, you get punished if you leave the game (i.e. 1 hour limit offline progress). Its mind boggling really. Words of advice to future/wannabe developers, you need to entice people to stay and play your game. Its cliche but this is essentially watching paint dry in a digital form. Step up your game devs.
Not gonna lie, at first I was pissed and gonna give this a bad rating but once I get the hang of it, turns out it wasnt as frustrating as I thought. Shadow feature helps. The control is simple yet very, very smooth. 4/5
Solid puzzle game. One way to add hard badge is to count the number of moves and make the least amount of moves etc. Level # would be nice too but I cruise through the levels and didnt realize i was nearing the end until I saw the message. 4/5
I played this game so many frickin times before and always end up just short of finishing it. Tried it out of boredom today and manage it after 1 death. I hate this game.
This whole series (or at least the ones we get) is great. I spent more time than I imagine I would spent on a kong's game trying to get everything done being sorta completionist. I saw some people angered about the creator for this and that but mostly for not continuing this series, people really like it and they're mad that they cant enjoy more of it. I get that. But I also understand why the creator choose not to continue. Only thing I can say is, just appreciate it and give the guy a break. He deserves it. Kudos to you Toby for this experience.
