There is viritually no skill in this game. You will liekly be hit by the enemies projectiles so the best way to minimize damage is to crash into any enemies that shoot at you. Don't worry abou your HP because it will recover whenth ey drop it. I like the art style and theme but the rest of the game is just stupid.
Pretty cool game. I was already making a mechanically similar game when I played it so it was nice to see how someone else decided to do it. One issue that I find, which is also present in my game, is that the obstacles sometimes blend too well with the background. Especially the smal ones on stage 2. They've made me re-start so many times. I think they need thicker contours or something.
Pro tip/bug/exploit:
In the death screen you can hit E and buy turrets with the money you still have. The turrets will stay through the next round and won't even increas the cost of aditional turrets.
Awesome game! I can imagine some improvements however. As a rule of thumb, unless the mouse is used in gameplay, don't force the player to use it in reoccuring events like the menues. The game can also be beaten very fast if you're good at it so I think a "speed run" mode would be quite interesting. For extra awesome, make the spikes move so that you can beat any level without slowing down if you play PERFECTLY. I like the music, so I really thought it was a shame that it stoped halfway through a level.
Still, awesome game! 5/5
I do not feel inclined to take it very seriously when I only lost once and it was becaue I was looking away when it tiold me to press the triangle quickly. Telling me that "You Can Now Consider Yourself as a: Idiot" certainly doesn't help either.
This game (and pretty muche very game in the series) is pretty much "Shonen: the game". I usually don't like shonen but this game really pulls it of. About 24h has passed since I first found this game and I've already played through it on both dfficulties about 5 times. There are some things that could be improved (mainly turning) but over all it's damn close to flawless.
I love designing games myself and I believe one of the best ways to learn i just to play a whole lot of games. That's actually why I signed up on Kongregate. To try out games and learn stuff.
I relaly feel like I've learnt somthing from this game and I want to take the time to thank you for making this game. I had a great time.
A bit of constructive criticism though: Pushing boxes take a lot of time and it's really boring. Pushing allt he boxes again if you die relaly sucks on some levels.
A nice little game you got there. I got something to point out though.
Last is broken. I put 3 points or so into HP and 5 into the regeneration thingy and I was regenerating 24 HP per turn. All theother characters seemed useless compared to her(especially the first guy) and once I got to the end I beat the boss(normal) without losing a character and i was barely aiming. So much for an ancient fear. It got beat up by a camping werewolf.
I kinda like when mini-maxing correctly can yeild good results, but this might be a bit too much.(just a bit) Then again, most people will go for offensive builds so I guess few people would even try it because it requiers a very commited build.
Why would I ever want to use solders unless they are tanking for my base? They give the enemy resources. I'd rather defend myself with turrets as mucha s possible. Turtling is by far the best strategy. Just buy the turrets and AFK for a while.
Not my idea of a good design.
I don't get the hype. It's an okay game I guess but it's easy, repetative, and not very unique. The game has no story and neglectable gameplay. I really don't get it.
The thing I don't like about this game is that it's so randomized and sometimes there is nothing you can do. And I also hate how you can't go backwards on purpous. I keep getting hit becaus eI'm hloding back but it fdoesn't work, and I can't go backwards fast enough.
